Happy Mother's Day to all of my crafty Moms!  Here's a card I made for my Mom with clean and simple lines, they're my favorite to make. 

I used the Mom's Layered Flowers Clear Set along with the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles and the Wavy Edgers Die Set.  The pretty green and white polka dot paper is from the 6 x 6 Paper Pack- Pretty Pastels.

Pets Are Family

Dogs aren't just pets, they're family!  I used the Best Buddies Set from Whimsy Stamps and stamped the sweet image on a die-cut tag then colored with Prisma Colored Pencils.

The tag is layered against a die-cut panel with the left side stamped with little paws from the set and black lines from the Get In Line Clear Stamp Set.  The senitment from the set was stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with white embossing powder, then die-cut using the Quick Strips Die Set.

Floatin By Shaker Card- Stampendous

Look at this cute new "Floaties Perfectly Clear Set" from Stampendous, eek!!  I have the pink flamingo floaty, floating by the shaker card window which is layered against this nice blue decorative paper.  I used the pretty sparkly "Crushed Glass Glitter" was used for the shaker bits. Here's a little tip, when making a shaker card, rub the acetate that's against the shaker bits with a dryer sheet, this helps prevent the bits from clinging to the acetate.

My card uses the House-Mouse Designs, Coffee Break from Stampendous and I'ts colored with Prisma Colored Pencils.  I shaded around the coffee bag using blue decorative chalk and applied it with a flat brush, you don't need to worry about it rubbing off, it won't.

For my card, I used one of my favorite coffee stamps, Preston, those eyes oh my gosh so cute!!  

I colored him with Prisma Pencils and he's layered against coffee rings stamped with Broken China Distress Oxide and Tea Die Distress Ink.

Best -Kept Secret

I need to share with you the best-kept secret when it comes to die cutting machines.  I already had three die cutting machines when Rubbernecker Stamps started carrying the Crossover II and my friend Cristena told me how amazing it was.  So being the crafter that I am I just had to give it a try and oh my gosh it's AMAZING!! Here's why, when you open it up there are two wheels to adjust the tension, you can make it tighter or looser so you don't need a bunch of different plates or shims.  If you have an intricate die, just roll the wheel to tighten the tension, have an embossing folder, loosen the tension so it fits, the thick old dies no problem... Thinking of You- Rubbernecker Stamps

Hi my crafty friends, I'm up on the Rubbernecker blog today with this Thinking of You card.  if you've been with me for a while you know I like to make pretty cards that are quick and easy because so many of us are busy and don't always have an hour to color an image.  I won't say it's a 5 minute card but it's probably a 10 minute card!  Image how pretty these would be in different colors, it would make a wonderful gift set for any occasion!

Here's how it's made;
1.  Place the Circle Lattice Die-Cut Set on the left side of a white cardstock panel and run it through your die-cut machine.
2.  Stamp the vines from the Organic Set #2, on the left side with VersaFine Clair Ink in Verdant.  You'll do this two times, don't worry about it overlapping, the sentiment will cover it.
3.  Glue this to a larger periwinkle panel then pop it up on a white card.
4.  Die-cut a white rectangle using the Nested Rectangle Stictch Die-Cut Set and stamp the vines on the two sides with the Verdant ink.  Heat set, rub with an embossing buddy or it you don't have one you can use baby powder.  Stamp the sentiment with Onyx Black VersaMark Ink and emboss with clear embossing powder.  Layer onto black paper and pop up on the card.
5.  Stamp the butterfly with black ink, emboss with clear and cut out.  Bend the wings and glue only the body to the card so the wings will stand up.
6.  Randomly apply rhinestones and you're done!

Mountain Serenity

It's May 1st and do you know what that means?!  It's Whimsy Stamps new release for the month!  My card uses the Mountain Serenity Rubber Stamp, it's stamped in black and embossed with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper.    Since the stamp is so intricate, I used hot press watercolor paper because it's smoother than cold press and I didn't want to lose any of the details.    It was then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens.

For the background, the Farmhouse Shiplap was stamped using Sepia VersaFine Ink on tan paper then the edges were sponged.  Thanks from the Thanks Word and Shadow Die Set was used with tan paper.
