Thank You

Hi my stamping friends, today I'm up on the Rubbernecker Blog with this Thank You card.  I used several different techniques on this one with several new stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps.  Here's how it was made;

1. The Thistle was stamped on a white cardstock frame that was die cut using the new  Square Combo Die, with black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

2.  Yellow and orange Distress Inks were sponged over the Thistle and glued to a larger black panel. Set aside.
3.  The butterfly was die cut using the  2 Part Butterfly #3 Die.

4.  Double sided sticker paper was layered onto a square piece of cardstock then cut out.
5.  Next is to add gold leafing by peeling off the top carrier of the double-sided sticker paper, then rubbing the sticky side with the gold leaf.  You then need to burnish it with texture sponge to remove all extra pieces of gold leaf flakes. Bend wings and add rhinestones on the body. Set aside.
6.  Stamp the Wood Fence Background on a goldenrod panel with Tea Dye Distress Ink, tie with gold cord and glue to a black card.
7.  Glue the Thistle panel and the butterfly to the card.
8.  Stamp sentiment from the Best Friends Etc set on a strip of white cardstock with black ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. Pop up on top of the Thistle panel and add a rhinestone.

Curly Balloons and Frame

Today I'm sharing a birthday card using the new Birthday Balloons and Curly Cue Frame from Rubbernecker Stamps.  The frame and font on the sentiment go so well together and it makes for a quick and easy card.  Both stamps are stamped with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and embossed with clear.  The Birthday Balloons are colored with watercolor pencils to achieve a nice shading.  Several colors of sequins are randomly glued using Art Glitter Glue.  The panel is layered on a black panel and glued to a purple card.

Sassy Travels

This Sassy Travel Perfectly Clear Set from Stampendous is just the cutest!  I like using a black silhouette against a watercolored background, it really pops.  Stampendous has another super cute silhouette set, Sassy City that I've linked up for you to take a look at.

Here's how my card was made;
1.  To make the watercolor background use a long rectangle acrylic block and rub Worn Lipstick and Wild Honey inks directly on the block, spritz with water and stamp it on a white cardstock panel.  Let dry.
2.  Stamp the Paris scene and the stars from the Sassy Travel Perfectly Clear Set with Onyx Black ink and emboss with clear embossing powder.
3.  Place a thin strip of double sided tape at the top and bottom of the watercolor area, sprinkle with Gold Micro Glitter and wipe off any excess.
4.  Stamp the image and Bonjour below the Paris scene with Onyx Black ink and emboss with clear embossing powder.
5.  Glue to a black panel and then to a pink card.

Pretty Upcycled Paper Bag Card

Hi, today I'm up on the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog with this card made using a brown grocery bag.  To make it I cut a piece of the bag, crumpled it up and stamped on it using the Leaves Set with VersaMark Ink and embossed with white.  It's layered on a white card stamped with Splatter Stains Set in Antique Linnen.  For a pop of color purple ribbon is tied around the card and the Idiots Happen sentiment is stamped on purple paper and white embossed.

A Flowery Feel Better

Today I'm up on the Rubbernecker Blog with a flowery, Feel Better Quick card.  I used the new Mixable Flower Stack Die which gives you five different sizes of stackable flowers and five different sizes of dots.

I die cut my flowers and dots from bright colors of yellow and green papers, then glued them to a white panel.  The sentiment is from the Best Friend Etc set, it was stamped on a strip of white paper with Onyx Black VersFine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

This was layered onto decorative paper and glued to the card.  Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops were used for random dots around the card.

Everyday Chicks Party!

Oh my gosh I absolutely LOVE the new Everyday Chicks Set with Dies from the April Stampendous catalog!! Yes the dies come with the stamp set.  You have to cut them apart and the die leaves a bit of white around the chicks so it doesn't cut off the fur/feathers so be sure to color the edges.

The Stampedous Design Team will all be sharing creations made with the Everyday Chicks Set, so be sure to check out the Stampendous Blog to see all the different ways you can use this set, link's at the bottom of the page.

Here's how my card was made.
1.  Stamp chicks party hat and balloon on cardstock, color with colored pencils and us matching dies to cut out.  Set aside.
2.  Place Southwest Background Metal Stencils on a white cardstock panel diagonally and sponge with Faded Jeans and Mediterranean Blue inks.
3.  Stamp Happy diagonally above the stenciled area with Onyx Black ink and emboss with clear embossing powder.
4.  Stamp Birthday on a black strip of paper with VersaMark Ink, emboss with white embossing powder and attach a ribbon brad.
5.  Glue all pieces to the stenciled panel, layer onto decorative paper and glue to a yellow card.
