Sloth Swing

Welcome to Sneak Peek Week for the new January 2018 Stampendous catalog!!  All week the Design Team will be sharing their favorite cards from the catalog.  One of my favorites is this card made with the cute Sloth Swing stamp, I laugh every time I see him.  He's layered on a stenciled background, it's so easy to make and has a jungle feel.

Here's how I made my card.
1.  Stamp Sloth Swing on a white die cut circle with black ink and color with pencils. Set aside.
2.  Stencil Small Fern Frond with green inks on a white panel.
3.  Glue stenciled panel to a larger green panel and glue to a green card.
4.  Layer image to green and black die cut circles and glue to card.
5.  Stamp sentiment on bottom left with black ink.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas to all my crafty friends, hope you have a warm and joyous day!!  My last Christmas card of the year is using the cute Snowman With Arms from Rubbernecker Stamps.  He's colored with Prisma Colored Pencils and can be cut out with the matching Snowman With Arms Die, the decorative paper is by The Paper Studio and the snow behind the snowman is Shabby White Embossing Powder from Stampendous.  The circle cut out was made with the Nested Circle Stitched Die Set.

Do you need a last minute Christmas card?  This one is quick to make when in a pinch.  The stamps are from the Poinsettia Wishes Perfectly Clear Set and the dies are from the Fitted Frames Set, both by Stampendous.  The image is colored with Prisma Colored Pencils and Dot Sparklers are added for just a touch of bling.

Celebrate Your Birthday!

Even though it's Christmas time, don't forget to send out those birthday cards for the December birthdays!  Luckily the theme for my stamp club was birthdays, because I was running pretty low.  Now my stash is replenished.
This was my card, I'm a paper hoarder and decided it was time to use!!

It was a quick and easy card which was good since I needed to make multiples.  The balloon die is an old one from Sizzix and the sentiment is from Stampendous.  After the ballons were glued down and the sentiment was stamped, I drew the strings using a fine tip black marker.  The strip of glitter paper at the bottom is to cover up the ends of the string.

I'm entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Party Time.

Oh Christmas Tree

I love this two-part Watercolor Christmas Tree and the matching Watercolor Christmas Tree Die Cut! I posted a card using this stamp last month and the card looks completely different, here it is below and you can see the original post HERE.

Getting stamps that can be used to make cards that will look completely different is a good way to get more bang for your buck!

To make today's card,
1.  I inked the stamp with Twisted Citron, then randomly dabbed the tree with Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles.
2.  Before I stamped it on watercolor paper, I wiped off the stem and colored it with a brown Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker.
3.  Then the stamp was spritzed with water several times and stamped.  The stamped was cleaned and the process was done again for the second tree.
4.  The third tree was done the same way but stamped on a separate sheet of watercolor paper, dried then the lights were stamped in black, embossed with clear and it was die cut and set aside.
5.  A mask was placed over the trees and blue ink was sponged around them and water down blue ink was splattered on the panel before the masks were removed.
6.  Drops of White Nuvo Drops were added to the tree and die cut snowflakes were glued on. The panel was then layered onto black and mounted to a kraft colored card.  The die cut tree was then popped up in the middle of the two trees.

Pinecone Decoration

The count down is on and I'm still not done with my cards...uh oh!  The Pinecone Decoration stamp from Stampendous is pretty and festive.  It's colored with Prisma Pencils and the Fitted Frames B Die Set was used to cut it out and to layer it on a larger black frame. I added a touch of gold with the Champagne PEARLustre Embossing Powder, Dot Sparklers and the gold cord bow at the top.

Christmas Roses

Today's Christmas Roses card has so much going on like stamps, stencils, die cuts, embossing powder and Dot Sparklers! All of these come together to create a beautiful Christmas card.

Here's how it was made:
1.  The Stampendous Christmas Roses is colored with Prisma pencils then die cut with Fitted Frames.
2.  The background is stenciled with Bricks Metal Stencil, I didn't mask the image, just placed the stencil over the stamped image and sponged through the stencil, starting at the outside edge moving inward, being careful to stop before I got to the image.
3.  The red die cut piece was sprinkled with Shabby White Embossing Enamel and heated from underneath so the powder wasn't blown off. That was then layered onto a Brick stencil panel and all pieces were mounted on a red card. 4.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed on a red strip and glued to the top of the card.

Joy Has Come

If you haven't started on your Christmas cards, you better hop to it!!  The Joy Has Come stamp from Stampendous makes for a quick Christmas card when paired with a watercolor back ground.  Joy Has Come was stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Champagne Embossing Powder. It's then die cut with Fitted Frames and layered against a watercolor background made with blue and brown Distress Inks.  A frame die cut from blue glitter paper is then layered over the sentiment.

All week Stampendous has been sharing videos from Vicky Papaioannou and you will want to see these.  Her projects are just beautiful! The Stampendous Blog has all of the links to her You Tube videos.

Tis The Season

Welcome to Rubberneck Stamps Sweet Sunday Team Inspiration Day. Hope you've started your Christmas cards but if you haven't, here's a little inspiration for you.  This cute Snowman With Arms was stamped on white paper, colored with Prisma Pencils and blended with gamsol.  After the snowman was die cut,  the bottom was embossed with Shabby White Embossing Powder and heated from underneath so the powder doesn't blow off.  Decorative chalk was applied around the snowman with a flat brush. Tis The Season was stamped with blue, layered on blue and popped up.

2.  Sprinkle Shabby White Embossing Enamel at the bottom of the image, use a small brush to wipe off of the image and heat emboss from underneath, so the embossing enamel doesn't blow off.

Christmas Greetings

It's Challenge 23 Christmas and Sparkle over at Rubbernecker Stamps, so make a sparkly Christmas card and share it HERE.  You could win one of two prizes, 1st place a $25.00 gift card to Rubbernecker.com and 2nd place a $10.00 gift card to Rubbernecker.comGood luck and I can't wait to see what you make!!

To make my card I used Ornament Branch and Christmas Greetings Large.  Both were stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Jeweled Gold Embossing Powder on cream paper and layered on gold.  The gold paper made it hard to get a picture with out the glare.  In person this card is really sparkly.

Snowman Season

Another week has flown by, like Santa in his sleigh! He’ll be here before you know it, only 38 more sleeps until he comes sliding down the chimney! Are you ready?? Have you been naughty or nice?
Stampendous is going to be nice this week and give away one of their new Santa On His Way stamps to a lucky commenter who leaves a comment on the Stampendous Blog for the week or on those of the Design Team. In case you need to find those spots, here are the links for MONDAYWEDNESDAY and Friday.
Here's how my card was made.
1.  Stamp Snowman Season on Mixed Media White Cardstock with black ink and color with pencils.
2.  Apply Art Glitter Glue to the fur parts of the hats and sprinkle with Crystal Micro Glitter, let dry.
3.  Cut out using a circle die and set aside.
4.  Cut a strip of Double Sided Mounting Paper and use a ruler to draw line on the top carrier paper.  Using a craft knife, carefully cut through the carrier only not the sticky mounting paper. Remove every other strip.
5.  Sprinkle Red Micro Fine Glitter, rub in and shake off excess.
Remove the remaining carrier strips and sprinkle with Crystal Micro Glitter, shake off excess and stick to a panel of decorative paper.
6.  Cut a strip of Double Sided Mounting paper, adhere to the left edge of the decorative paper and sprinkle with Crystal Micro Glitter.
7.  Glue to a red card and pop up Snowman Season with foam squares.
