Happy Thanksgiving Card

Happy November!! I have a Thanksgiving card that is perfect to send out to friends and family that can't be with us for the holiday.
Here's how my card was made-

To make this card, the sentiment was stamped with VersaMark Ink and Embossed with Lettuce Embossing Powder. The background was then stamped with a dot background stamp using a Citrus ink.  The little pumpkin was colored with watercolor pencils using just a touch of water, since the paper is not watercolor paper.

The panel was then taped to a wine color card using the E-Z Runner Grand.

Decorative paper was die-cut using a circle die and 3D Foam Strips were placed on the back of the paper going along the edges and around the circle.

Pumpkins and leaves were die-cut from white cardstock and colored with orange and green inks.

Using circle dies, a circle frame was die-cut from wine cardstock and glued to the top of the circle opening with the Dual Tip Glue Pen.  A strip of decorative paper was glued to the bottom portion of the card and the pumpkins and leaves were glued down with the Dual Tip Glue Pen and popped up with 3D Foam Squares.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today I have a Thanksgiving card with pretty Fall leaves made with stamps, dies and inks from Rubbernecker Stamps. There are times when friends and family can't get together for the holidays, so I like to send out cards to let them know we are thinking of them.
Here's how my card was made.

Die-cut the Plaid Cover Die from white cardstock and layer it onto wood patterned paper.

Stamp the sentiment from the Give Thanks Sayings set on white cardstock with VersaMark Ink and emboss it with rust embossing powder.
Die-cut this using the Nested Scallop w/ Half Holes die and layer it onto slightly larger rust cardstock.

Pop the sentiment up on the center of the card and glue the leaves beneath it.

Here’s what you will want to have on hand to make this pretty project:

Thanksgiving Greeting

Today I used the new all occasion Painted Wishes Perfectly Clear Stamp Set from Stampendous and layered it on a background of Graphic 45 Paper. If you're looking for a cute stamp set that you can use year round, you'll love this one!!

Here is how my card was made;

1.  Stamp mouse and sentiment on white cardstock, color with colored pencils and shadow with brown chalk.

2.  Layer onto black paper and set aside.
3.  Stamp Happy Thanksgiving on a white circle towards the top, color over the words with orange chalk and set aside.
4.  Glue a strip of Heart's Desire paper to the bottom of a burnt orange card.
5.  Layer a strip of Cosmopolitan paper to black paper and glue over the top to the Heart's Desire paper, slipping the circle sentiment under the strip before the glue is dry.

Thanksgiving Treat

These cute little mice are really making me want some pumpkin pie.  The image Pumpkin Pie was colored with Prisma pencils and blue chalk was used to shade around the image. It was then die cut, layered onto a larger die cut piece, hardware was added to the top and bottom, then the piece was glued to a Mandarin colored card.

No Background Paper Used Here!

Who needs background paper when you have stamps! I started with a cream panel and randomly stamped leaves (Stampendous) with butterscotch, lettuce and rust Adirondack inks, stamped the leaf two to three times before re-inking. Thanksgiving (Paper Inspirations) was then stamped with black VersaFine and the edges were sponged with butterscotch and layered onto clay colored paper. The card is cream cardstock that was stamped with an aged paper stamp (Paper Inspirations) using butterscotch Adirondack and the edges were sponged with the same ink. To make the glitter square I placed 1 1/2" double sided tape from Scor-Pal on clay paper leaving a small border on the top and bottom. Using a leaf punch, punch out a leaf and place the leaf on the center of the tape and sprinkle around it with sea green glitter (Stampendous). Tie the card with ribbon and mount all of the pieces.

I'm getting ready for a busy weekend. Melanie is going to the homecoming football game and dance that follows, which means I have to stay up till midnight to pick her up, wow is that way past my bed time! Then Saturday my husband won 4 tickets to a UCLA football game that starts at 12:30, so we will go to that for a few hours even though we are USC alumni, Go Trojans! We will need to rush home then go to Knott's Scary Farm with a pre-scare dinner that starts at 5:00. I think they stay open until 2 am, again way to late for me. And on Sunday Melanie has two water polo games. It makes me tired just thinking about it but it should be fun!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.
