Green With Envy

Be sure to mark your calenders for the Whimsy Stamps 31 Nights of Halloween where they'll be sharing a Halloween card a day! I'll be posting on October 9th and the 21st,  and I'll be hosting a giveaway for their 31 Nights of Halloween celebration, where you could win a $20 gift certificate!

Now here's my card-

Today as a Guest Designer for Whimsy Stamps, I have a Halloween card using the Franken Schmutz Clear Stamps Set, Franken Schmutz Die Set and the Distressed Backgrounds and Ink Splats Clear Stamps Set.  I really love these sets, just look at the funny sayings that come with the Franken Schmutz  set, and I have to admit the look on his face is how I feel in the mornings haha.

Frank is stamped with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and embossed with clear on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

He's then diecut using the coordinating dies and layered onto a cream colored oval that has been stamped with the chicken wire from the Distress Backgrounds and Ink Splats Clear Stamps.

The sentiments were stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  Take a look at the word "green" it's been colored with a green alcohol marker, isn't that cool?!!  All of the pieces are layered onto decorative papers and some ribbon and sequins are added.

Bubbles and Flowers

Hi my crafty friends, I'm up on the Rubbernecker Stamps Blog this week with a card made mostly with dies but I had to throw in at least one stamp, so I stamped a sentiment.   I used the  Bubbles Die as the background focal point in white cardstock.  The Mixable Flower Stack Die was used to cut out pink sparkle paper.  The sentiment from the Best Friends Etc set was stamped in black, embossed with clear embossing powder.  A pink rhinestone was used on the paper strip for the sentiment to tie into the pink flowers.

Honey Doo Crafts New Release

Today I have another card made with Honey Doo Crafts New Release, Fleur Set.  These flowers and leaves are so pretty and you can arrange them so many ways.

The background was made by randomly stamping watercolor paper with flowers and leaves from the set with VersaMark Ink and embossing with white embossing powder.  Then the Direct to Paper technique was used by rubbing Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Inks directly over the embossed background.  Water was spritzed on the inks so they blend, this was set aside to dry.  A flower and two leaves were stamped with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink, embossed with clear and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  These were cut out, the flower petals were curled and glued to a black circle.  White dots were added around the flower and the circle was glued to the watercolored panel, this was layered onto a black panel and glued to a white card.  A Sentiment was stamped and embossed on black paper, then glued to the bottom of the card.

Owl Be Home Christmas

This week the Stampendous Design Team will be sharing cards made with Cling Stamp and Die Sets.  The stamp and die set I used is Owl Be Home For Christmas.
The owl was colored with watercolor pencils, die cut using the included die and glued onto the branch, that was also colored with watercolor pencils and Sparkle Puff Embossing Powder was sprinkled on the branch to give a snow effect.
To spotlight the owl, a blue circle frame was placed over him and a strip of glitter washi tape was placed underneath.
The sentiment from the set was stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder, layered onto a green panel and popped up.
Stop by the Stampendous website and see what the other Designers have for you this week.  (Link below)

Carnation Card

Hi friends, here's another card using new release stamps from Honey Doo Crafts.  It uses the Carnations Set and Paint Splodges Set.  I really love how the Carnation Set has open lined carnations and bold stems, that way you can stamp the stems with green ink, I used Olympia Green VersaFine Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Next, I stamped and embossed the carnations on watercolor paper with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink, colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, cut out and popped them up on the stems.  For the background, I used a stamp from the Paint Splodges Set, inked with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and stamped on a white cardstock panel.  This was then layered onto a larger green panel and glued to a purple card.  I think this color combination is oh so pretty!

New Release!

I'm so excited to share this card with you today!  I was asked by Honey Doo Crafts to be a Guest Designer for their new release of stamps.  They have five new sets, three are floral and two are backgrounds.  This card uses stamps from the Fleur Set and Brushed Strokes Set.

Here's how it was made;
1.  The flower and leaves were stamped on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with black VersaFine Ink, embossed with clear and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
2.  A circle was die cut from a white panel and a background stamp from the Paint Strokes set was stamped at the bottom with orange ink.  The sentiment was then stamped and embossed.
3.  A blue ribbon was tied around one side then glued to decorative paper and mounted to a white card. A few circle stickers were randomly placed for interest.
