Have You Seen The Stampendous Blog Lately?

Stampendous is having a Blog Hop with ETI's Jewelry Resin so check out their blog for links to the designers that are making some fabulous things!!

I'm not playing along with this hop because my mom had emergency open heart surgery last Wednesday and I have been soooo busy taking care of things for her and visting her in the hospital several times a day, so unfortunately my stamping is a bit neglected.  I'm hoping she will be transferred to a skilled nursing facility tomorrow that is much closer to my house which will give me more time to stamp :)

BUT next week I will be joining in the Blog Hop with Stampendous, Coredinations (paper) and May Arts (ribbon), my cards have been made for weeks!  I will have cards posted Tuesday and Friday with links to the other designers, so please hop along with us.

Today's card is using the Jumbo Daisy and For All You Do Stampendous stamps and STAEDTLER Aquarell watercolor pencils. Now here is how it was made.
1.  Stamp Jumbo Daisy on white paper with Versamark in and emboss with black.
2.  Using the STAEDTLER watercolor pencils, watercolor the image starting with the lightest color  first and adding layers of color.
3.  Using the template, mask the Daisy and sponge the edges with Stonewashed Adirondack ink.
4.  Layer onto black paper.
5. Using a Spellbinder die, cut white shrink plastic with the bloom die. Stamp a background from the Marble Texture Cube in orange Brilliance then For All You Do with black, punch a hole in the top and shrink with a heat gun.

Stamp This With Stampendous and Staedtler

Todays card is a combination of Stampendous stamps and STAEDTLER Ergo Soft Aquarell watercolor pencils. The stamp is Hot Air Trio, it was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with black embossing powder.  It was then colored with STAEDTLER Ergo Soft Auarell pencils.  I have been using STAEDTLER watercolor pencils for 16 years now and have always loved them!! The sentiment is from the  Soaring Sentiments Perfectly Clear set.

Hop on over to the other designers blogs to see what they have created with Stampendous stamps and STAEDTLER!  Leave comments for a chance to win prize packs!

Tea Time-No Coloring Required

I just love the new teapots from Stampendous and they just call to me to add glitter, so I did!  This card really is quick and easy especially since there is no coloring required.
  1. First I stamped Royal Insignia on a tan panel with Beige Brilliance (which shimmers), let dry then stamped Queen Teapot with Versamark ink and embossed it with black embossing powder that I added Gold Ultra Fine Jewel glitter to.
  2. Then a 2 Way Glue Marker was used in the center of the cross then Gold Ultra Fine Jewel Glitter was sprinkled on.  Wow is it sparkly!!!
  3. This was layered onto black paper and gold photo corners were added.
  4. Royal Insignia was stamped on lavender paper with Lavender Brilliance.  It was layered onto black paper and tied with black ribbon.
  5. Ink the bottom right of the Roayal Insignia with Versamark ink, emboss with Jeweled Gold Embossing Powder and using a circle punch, punch out the large round insignia.  Layer onto black paper and attach to the ribbon with gold cord.
Hope you all had a nice Mother's Day weekend.  My hubby barbecued hamburgers and they were soooo good, it's nice to finally have nice weather so he could do that!  I got a great gift, an Ott Light!  I already had one but it was small and this is a little bigger.  An Ott light makes such a huge difference when coloring, the light is white and not yellow.
Thank you for stopping by!

New With Classic Stamps

I made this card for my Stamp Club ladies last week, the theme was Mother's Day or Girlfriend cards and I thought this could be used for either one depending on what you stamp inside.  So I combined two classic Stampendous stamps (two of my favorites), Agapanthus Long and Music Score with a saying from the Soaring Sentiments Perfectly Clear Stamps set from the new Aprill catalog.  The card is so pretty and sparkly but if I photograph it so you can see the sparkle, you can't see the stamping very well. Click on the picture to enlarge it and you will see the glitter.  Now for how it was made.
  1. I used my new Blossom Spellbinder die that I used in the previous post in the reverse to make a mask.  Cut a piece of computer paper the size of your panel, place the die in the desired location and cut.  Use the negative piece, tape to the panel (or desk if it's the same size) using removable tape.
Stamp Music Score with Latte Adirondack ink.
  1. Sponge with Butterscotch and Cranberry Adirondack inks keeping the center a litter lighter than the edges.
  2. Stamp Agapanthus Long on the left side with black Versafine ink, let dry or dry with a heat gun.
  3. Use direct to paper with Versamark ink and make sure to ink all of it.
  4. Remove mask, sprinkle with Kaleidoscope embossing powder (clear powder with iridescent glitter, soooo pretty)  and heat.
  5. The final touches-apply a crystal to the center of the Agapanthus, tie the left side with cranberry colored ribbon and tear the right side and sponge with Butterscotch and Cranberry inks.
  6. Layer onto a cranberry panel using Beacon 3 in 1 Glue (fast drying, doesn't wrinkle paper and low odor) and mount to a tan card.
Here is a picture of the stamps and glue used.
Hope this post inspires you to stamp today!  :)

Can't Resist To Say Hi

Hi, I hope everyone is having a good week!  Mine is busy, busy, busy but there is always time to share a card made with the new Stampendous stamps!!

Today's card I used a resist technique and is monochromatic using the new Phone Elements and Classified stamps from Stampendous.
  1.  It was stamped on blush color paper with Versamark ink and embossed with Pearlustre Garnet embossing powder (Stampendous).
  2. I colored around the numbers with a white colored pencil and then again with a clear wax crayon (from Easter egg dying kits) or you can use a white crayon.  I did the same to highlight parts of the phone. This will create a resist for the next step.
  3. Sponge image with Crimson Brilliance and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.  Rub the the white areas with a paper towel to remove any ink and watch the white pop!.
  4. Cute the edges of the paper with deckle scissors and sponge with Crimson Brilliance, layer on to a white panel, then use the Pink Encrusted Jewel Kit around the edges.
  5. Stamp a strip of blush paper with Classifieds (Stampendous) in Crimson  and sponge.
  6. Tear a piece of Fran's Sticky Panels, apply to the right edge of the Classifieds strip and sprinkle with product from Pink Encrusted Jewel Kit and heat from underneath.
  7. Mount pieces to a pearl plum panel and attach to a blush card.
  8. Sponge letter tiles with Victorian Velvet and Crimson inks and glue on with Beacon 3 in 1 glue.

Floral Thank You

I recently got a new Spellbinder die and thought the new Zinnia from Stampendous would be perfect to use with it.  This stamp is so versatile and has endless possibilities, I'm thinking of using it to make my mom's Mother's Day card.
  1. Use the Blossom Spellbinder die to cut white paper.  Leaving the die on, sponge with Cranberry and Butterscotch Adirondack inks.
  2. Remove die and stamp Zinnia with black Versafine, heat set and color with watercolor pencils.
  3. Put die back over the cut out and apply Versamark ink using direct to paper, remove die.  Sprinkle with Kaleidoscope (Stampendous) embossing powder and heat.  You get a beautiful sparkly effect and it makes the colors a little more vibrant.
  4. I found some great bling ribbon at Michael's that I layered onto a strip of brick colored paper and glued to a pink card that was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.
  5. Thank You (Stampendous) was layered on brick paper and a couple of the bling pieces from the ribbon were glued to the corners.
Be sure to break out your flowers, or get some new and join Stampendous' May Fabulous Florals challenge  for a chance to win a prize, so show us what you can do!
