Happy, Happy, Happy

I enjoy using the same stamp in a variety of ways.  Here is the same butterfly stamp by Stampendous that I used yesterday for a completely different look.

The butterfly was stamped on white paper with Versamark ink and embossed in white.  Then I brushed water over it and painted with orange and pink Twinkling H2O's.  By wetting the paper before you paint, it helps the paint blend together. Once the paper is dry tear the top corner and glue it to the bottom right corner inside the card.
Glue the image to a black panel and place the white sticker by Stampendous to the corner.  Glue this to the left side of a white card.
Stamp happy by Hero Arts onto white paper with Versamark ink and emboss with black glitter powder.  Wet the paper and paint with Twinkling H2O's, let dry and glue to a black panel.  Mount to card using foam squares.  Stamp happy twice with black Versamark ink.
Apply thin double sided tape to the bottom of the card and sprinkle with black glitter.
Stamp birthday inside and you are done!

Hello

I got a new butterfly set yesterday and had to get it inky today.  Unfortunately the picture doesn't do it justice, it's so much prettier in person.  I'm taking pictures in all of my rooms trying to get good lighting but can't find quite the right spot.

The butterfly by Stampendous was inked with Versamark and embossed with a sparkling Cranberry.  It was painted with Twinkling H2O's, the edges were sponged with Crimson Brilliance and layered onto sparkling plum paper.
Gold stickers by Stampendous were applied to the top right corner and gold ribbon was wrapped around the bottom left.
An embossing folder was used on blush paper and sponged with Crimson Brilliance.

Thanks for stopping by :)

To Brighten Your Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.  Last night I got a new embossing folder so I just had to play with it!  This card is for Splitcoaststampers challenges F4A155 and SC423.
The embossing folder was used on tan paper and Sepia Versafine ink was sponged over it.
Three rows of Ah That's Great Tape were place on a strip of dark brown paper.  The tape was rubbed back and forth with my finger to create a spiderweb affect.  Apricot and Willow mica chips and brown Shattered Glass Glitter were sprinkled on the tape.  Blue and Copper Pearl Ex were brushed on.
The rose by Stampendous was stamped using Versafine on tan paper and embossed with blue and gold embossing powders then the edges were sponged with Sepia ink and layered onto light blue and dark brown papers. The sentiment by Stampendous was stamped on light blue paper  with Sepia Versafine and layered onto dark brown paper.

Look what got delivered today!!!!  I have the best hubby, even after 25 years I get flowers on Valentine's Day :)  I love you Paul!

Amazing Twinkling H2O's

This card was made for todays Splitcoaststampers color challenge CC413 using green, tangerine and white.  I thought these colors would be perfect  for one of my favorite stamps, a pear stamp from A Stamp In The Hand.
Using Twinkling H2O's I painted the stamp with Key Lime and Orange Peel, stamped it on a white panel, let it dry and stamped Amazing from Hero Arts using black Versafine.
I rubbed a small tag with Brilliance, Pearlescent Lime and applied a  butterfly sticker by Stampendous, tied with a tangerine ribbong and glued to the card.
The corners were made using a Stamp n Up punch and the dots are stickers from Stampendous.

Today is the perfect day to stamp because it's SNOWING in Oklahoma!!  Being from Southern California seeing it snow still amazes me.

Even my dog Minie is amazed by the snow :)

Celebrate With Style

Today I made this card for the SplitCoastStampers sketch challenge SC422 and color challenge CC412 using cream, kraft and black, I love the color combo.   Since I'm always in need of birthday cards I made a couple :)

Tuesday was my wonderful husband's birthday.  My son Greg told me we had to get the number candles or there would be WAY to many...I thought he was right haha.  Happy Birthday Paul!

Love

This Valentine's card was made using the glitter and lace techique that I love so much.  The heart was cut out of sticker paper using a Sizzix die.  The  back paper was removed from the sticker paper and lace was placed over the sticky side.  Red glitter was then poured on the lace, rubbed in, shaken off and the lace was removed.  irredescent glitter was then sprinkled on the heart, rubbed and shaken off.

Love was stamped on a white strip with Versamark ink and embossed with black glitter embossing powder and glue was placed in the heart and sprinkled with glitter. This was then layered on black paper, glued to the heart.

A black panel was stamped with a swirl stamp in two corner, dusted with Pearl Ex and the heart was glued on and it was mounted to a white card.  Corner mount stickers were placed in two corners and a  key hole sticker was placed diagonally to the corner.  A key sticker was placed on acetate, cut out and attached to the "love" strip.

Quick Birthday Card

My husband's birthday is coming up and my mom asked me to make a card for her to give to him just a couple of hours before we were to celebrate his birthday...this is what I came up with.

A white panel was stippled with  Lettuce, Stonewashed and Denim Adirondack inks.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with black glitter powder.  Then it was layered onto a black panel and glued to a white card.  You can't see it in the picture but two lines were scored on the right side using a Score-Pal.  Light blue, dark blue and silver round stickers were placed at the edge.  This was super easy and I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Glitter Lace Heart

This is a heart I made 10 of for a swap at a local stamp store.
The heart was cut from cream cardstock and background words were stamped with Beige Brilliance and then over stamped with lips
(Stampendous) using Pink Pastel Chalk Ink.

Torn decorative paper was glued to half of the heart and a skeleton leaf rubbed with mushroom Adirondack Ink was was placed under the torn paper. Glitter glue was then placed on the torn edge.
Love (Stampendous) was stamped and embossed on cream paper using champagne and embossing powder, layered to brown paper and two brown corner mounts were added.
The glitter heart was made by cutting a heart out from sticker paper using a Sissix die, placing lace on top and sprinkling with pink glitter, shake off excess glitter, remove lace then apply iridescent glitter. Layer on to a larger brown heart.

XO (Stampendous) was stamped at the bottom of the heart an embossed with champagne embossing powder. The cream edges of the heart we're sponged with Beige Brilliance.
