Thinking of You

It's Sweet Sunday Team Inspiration day at Rubbernecker Stamps and I have a card made with the Fall Foliage two part set but I only used the tree.  To make the background, I rubbed ink pads on a long thin acrylic block in Mowed Lawn, Marigold and Straw.  The block was then sprayed with water and the ink was stamped on a white panel.  Once dry the trees were stamped with VersaMark ink and embossed with Twilight embossing powder.  Thinking of You was stamped on a white tag, embossed with Twilight.  It was then stamped with one of the small stamps from the Splatter Stains sets in Marigold and Straw, layered on black, tied with ribbon and popped up on the card.

Now head on over to the Rubbernecker Blog and see what the other designers have for you!

31 Days of Halloween, Day 27

Here's my last card for 31 Days of Halloween that Stampendous is playing along with.  To make the card Chilling was stamped on white cardstock with Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear.  Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord and Hickory Smoke were sponged onto the image after masking fluid dried on the eyes and lips.

After the image was sponged the masking fluid was removed to reveal the bright white paper.  This was then glued to an orange panel that had been sponged with Hickory Smoke ink.  It was then glued to a black card that was stamped with Industrial in Silvery Shimmer ink.

Happy Halloween was stamped on acetate with black StazOn ink and cut out.  I had to think for a while on how to attach it to the card since glue would show through the acetate.  A large orange rhinestone was placed on the acetate and a dot of glue was placed under it then placed on the card, it worked perfectly.

Hickory Smoke ink was rubbed on white May Arts Ribbon, tied in a knot and glued to the card.  Black and orange rhinestones were then placed on the ribbon.

You're the Best!

It's time for Challenge #21 over at Rubbernecker Stamps and the theme is Copper and Gold. Be sure to play along by clicking HERE, because you could win one of two prizes, 1st place is a $25 Gift Card to Rubbernecker.com  or 2nd Place $10 Gift Card to Rubbernecker.com

To make my card I 1.  used Best Friends Etc  and stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and embossed with Champagne PEARLustre Embossing Powder.  2. Liner tape was applied above and below the sentiment and rubbed it with multi colored gold leaf then burnished to remove the excess.  3.  A frame was cut out of gold paper using 5007D Nested Rectangle Small Stitch Die Cut and glued to the stamped panel and set aside. 4.  869 Poppy Trio was randomly stamped on a black panel with VersaMark ink and gold mica powder was brushed over the panel, then wiped with a micro fiber cloth to remove excess powder.  5.  The black panel was mounted to a rust card and the framed piece was glued on diagonally.

Now head on over to Rubbernecker Stamps and play along with the Challenge, good luck!!

31 Days of Halloween, Day 22

It's day 22 of the 31 Days of Halloween and the Stampendous Design Team has been making amazing creations all month.  Today I have a card using the Spider Fear Perfectly Clear Set to stamp the spider in black and Spooky Wishes Perfectly Clear Set to stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and embossing with white to make a clean yet creepy card...because anything with a spider is creepy!  To make the spider look like a black widow, I added a Red Dot Sparkler.

I used an embossing folder to emboss the spider web, and have the spider dangling off a string of rhinestones.

Birthday Wishes

It's Sweet Rubbernecker Sunday #70, where the Rubbernecker Design team shares their creations.  My card uses the Watercolor Margarita Glass 1043-01, Splatter Stains 3006 and Best Friends 3032.  The ink colors used are Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans.  You really can't tell from the picture but I embossed the margarita glass with clear embossing powder to make it shiny.

Today I'm playing along with 31 Days of Halloween and Stampendous will have Halloween projects for you everyday, you'll want to stop by their blog and take a look, link is at the bottom of the page.

I found this glass at Michael's and thought it would look really cute with a bag of candy in it and a tag tied around the bag.  I used several Stampendous stamp sets to make the tag Halloween Hats and Dies for the pumpkin, Spider Fear for the spiderweb and spider plus Spooky Wishes for the sentiment.

To make my card I used one of my favorite sets, the Butterflies Are Free Clear Set, randomly stamped a butterfly with VersaMark Ink and embossed with white on watercolor paper. Distress Inks were rubbed directly on the panel and spritzed with water until the color blended.  The bottom of the watercolor panel was die cut, then the panel was glued to a white cardstock panel.  Washi tape was placed under the butterfly panel and the sentiment was stamped with black ink and embossed with clear.  Glue panel to a black cardstock panel and mount to a pink card.
