Winter is Merry!

I really could have used these ice skates a couple of weeks ago to get around town! We had some beautiful snow that made not so beautiful ice on the roads but my son was happy, he got 3 snow days!!!  I took a picture of this beautiful fountain and I was surprised they didn't drain it before the freeze...hope it still works in the spring.

Now on to the card.
1.  Ice Skates were stamped with black and colored with pencils.
2.  Cut out with a Spellbinder die and before removing the image from the die, sponge with blue ink and layer onto a dark blue panel.
3.  Randomly stamp a card with Winter Snow in blue ink.
4.  Cut and 1 1/2" strip of Fran's Sticky Panel, lay it across the card and remove the carrier.
5.  Use a snow flake punch on the carrier and place the snow flake back on to the sticky panel to use as a mask.
6.  Using Blue Encrusted Jewels, sprinkle the elements onto the tape and heat with a heat gun.  Remove the snow flake mask and sprinkle with white glitter.
7.  Mount image to card, apply Dot Sparklers to some of the snow flakes and the corners of the Ice Skates.  Stamp Merry from the Holly Bird set at the bottom in black.

Time For Love

This new release Stampendous sentiment "Have I Told You" is going to be one of my favorite Valentine's Day stamps this season.

1.  The sentiment is Have I Told You? by Stampendous which was stamped with Versamark and embossed with white (Stampendous), then sponged with Walnut Stain to make the words stand out.
2.  The hearts were die cut using Spellbinder dies.  The red and black heart were sprinkled with Shabby White Embossing Enamel (Stampendous) the heated from the bottom.  The jute was wired ribbon that I had cut the wire edges off of.
3.  The Circles were die cut and the tan circle was stamped with Summer Days (Stampendous) in Latte Adirondack ink and the edges were sponged.
4.  The tan panel was dry embossed with a key folder and sponged with Walnut Stain ink and then rubbed with Deco Art Metallic Luster in Black Luster.
5.  Everything was glued with Beacon 3 in 1 glue and the sentiment was popped up using 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Here is a picture of some of the product I used.

Joy, Christmas is in the air!

I'm ready to nibble on some candy canes too!  This stamp is named Candy Joy and the little mice really look like they are enjoying their candy.
This card was quick and easy to make with the image stamped in black, colored with pencils and layered onto gold paper.
The red card is sprinkled with Shabby White embossing powder and heated from underneath the paper so it doesn't blow away.
The snow flakes are punched out of Fran's Sticky Panels and embossed using the Red Encrusted Jewels set.
The sentiment was stamped in black and rubbed with a gold Brilliance pad and layered onto gold.
Stamps and embossing powders are from Stampendous.

Stampendous and Clearsnap Blog Hop Time!!

This week Stampendous joined forces (and products) with Clearsnap. For over 20 years Clearsnap has been bringing you premium stamping innovation. They’ve always had fantastic products, new ideas, and excellent customer service. We’re really proud to be partnering with them this week to create some fun projects with our images and their inks.

Today I have a tag to share with you and here is how it was done.
1.  Spritz a manilla tag with walnut ink (any brown spray will do), let dry.
2.  Stamp Music Score on the left side with Mudslide Archival ink by Clearsnap and randomly stamp Merry from the Holly Bird set with the same ink, stamping several times before reinking.
3.  Glue decorative paper to the bottom of the tag and stamp the top portion of the tag with Winter Snow using Top Boss Watermark ink and emboss with Shabby White embossing powder.
4.  Tie brown ribbon around tag and glue on a red poinsettia (Michael's).
5.  Stamp Christmas on tan paper with Mudslide Archival ink, rub edges with Top Boss Watermark ink and emboss with Shabby White embossing powder.  Glue to tag and add a red Dot Sparkler.

Vintage Holly Bird

Right now I'm really into kraft, tan and brown colors paired up with other colors.  Today I paired kraft and tan with burgundy and gold to make an elegant Christmas card.  Stampendous has a great new stamp set Hollly Bird Perfectly Clear Stamps that has the bird and sentiment used plus other pretty stamps.

The image was stamped and embossed with gold then watercolored.  The edges were torn, rubbed with Versamark ink and embosses with Jeweled Gold embossing powder that is beautiful and glittery in person.  Dot Sparklers were added to the crown and on the holly berries.  The paper on the bottom is decorative paper that I've had for a while, I'm a paper collector and  hoarder so I'm trying to use it up to make room for new!!!

Be sure to stop by next week for a Blog Hop, Stampendous is joining with Colorbox to bring you wonderful cards and crafts!

Season of Peace

Dove Music (Stampendous) is such a pretty stamp I just had to use it to make a card!  The Dove was stamped on white paper and watercolored then cut out and layered onto white sparklely paper and cut out again.  Fran's Sticky Panels (Stampendous) were cut into strips, layed onto the card then Gold and Red Encrusted Jewels (Stampendous) were used.  The final touch were the pearls, one for the eye and three on the left side.

Now today I will be preparing for the storm that will be rolling in today and for about a week of below freezing weather!  I know for some of you this is no big deal but I'm from sunny warm Southern California and so NOT used to this, brrrrrrrr.
Stay warm and stop by tomorrow to see a Christmas card with a vintage look :)
