Stampendous Plays With May Arts

STM_MayArtsBanner2

We have lots going on this week to keep your Summer Vacation hopping with inspiration. In one event we’re hopping all week with one of our very favorite craft partners. May Arts ribbon is an extremely generous sponsor for us here at Stampendous and our Design Team is absolutely in love with their gorgeous ribbons, cords, strings and specialty items. You’ll find loads of beautiful May Arts on all our samples.
All week you have a chance to check out our Design Team Inspiration as well as the Ribbonistas over at the May Arts Blog.  Be sure to comment and tell us where you’re from, because our Australian Distributor The Stencil Specialists are sponsoring a prize for one friend “down under” to win a Stampendous Stamp, a Dreamweaver Stencil and a surprise goodie from their terrific stock of Stampendous merchandise!
There are Stampendous prize packages up for grabs. THREE U.S. commenters  will receive a prize of their choice of any one roll of ribbon from May Arts and a $20 reward card. Tell us what state you live in when you comment. Stampendous Official Rules.
Be sure to stop by the May Arts blog each day, because they are having a prize also! How’s that for an amazing week of prizes!
Now for my card...

Today I'm keeping with the Stampendous weekly theme of "By the sea"  and used the Seaside Chair Perfectly Clear Set. It is a great set to use for summer and comes with several different sayings.
1.  The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with pencils.
2.  The sand is Mushroom Embossing Powder which was sprinkled on and heated from underneath so it wouldn't blow off.
3.  The white part of the water is Crystal Micro Glitter that was glued on using a Zig 2 Way marker.
4.  After the panel was glued to kraft colored paper, it was glued onto a white card and on top of three thin pieces of ribbon with the same thicker ribbon tied into a knot and glued to the bottom, I love the look of matching ribbon in different sizes!
5.  To glue everything in place 3-in-1 glue from Beacon Adhesives was used.

Now take a look at what the other Designers have for you today!

Stampendous and Spellbinders Together Again

It’s summer time and we are hopping with some fabulous companies in the Summer Road Trip Partner Hop with Spellbinders.
Stampendous Stamps is hopping all three days with some fabulous summer inspiration from the design team and on Wednesday two of our designers will be featured a tutorial with some new Spellbinders products! How fun is that!

Prizes

Spellbinders is having a great giveway during this hop with three daily winners and one grand prize winner! Check out the details here.
Now here is how my card was made
1.  Dry emboss gold and silver papers using Spellbingers 3D M-BOSSABILITIES Basket Weave embossing folder.
2.  Die cut pears using Dreamweaver Stencils Pear Die and set aside.
3.  Dry emboss a spiced orange panel with the same embossing folder. r
4.  Rub Golden Glitz Delicata pigment ink from Tsukineko directly onto the raised embossed area.
5.  Now it's time to Frantage by lightly sprinkling Shabby White Embossing Enamel (HERE is a link to the Stampendous youtube channel where you can find tutorials on this and many other techniques) over the panel and heating from underneath so the powder doesn't blow off. Glue this to a golden yellow card.
6.  I had a piece of background paper on my desk I had made a while back using the NK Studio Grunge Set and layered it onto golden yellow paper then glued it to the card using 3-IN-1 glue from Beacon Adhesives.
7. The gold pear is glued to the card while the silver one is popped up using 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
8.  Stamp sentiment from the Life Words Perfectly Clear Set onto an oval that has been sponged with Tea Dye ink and sprayed with gold, with Tuxedo Black Memento. Pop up on card.

Now go and see what the other Designer's have for you today!

Floral Birthday

This week I'm sharing  a floral birthday card and I just love these colors together, so soft and feminine.  It seems that no matter how many birthday cards I make I never have one when I need one.  A bunch of these cards could be made and just by changing the colors they will look completely different.  Here is how mine was made.

1.  Stamp Peony Spray on white paper with black ink, color with pencils and use a brush to apply blue chalk around the image. Set aside.
2.  Stamp Ornate Border on the right side of a pink card with VersaMark ink and emboss with white embossing powder.
3.  Stamp Ornate Border on a green panel with Shabby Shutters ink.
4.  Glue pieces to card as shown.
5.  Stamp sentiment from Bouquet for You Perfectly Clear™ Stamps Set with black on a white strip.  Cut the end, sponge with Shabby Shutters, add a Dot Sparkler and pop up on the card with a foam square.

Owl Miss You

This Pop Up Forest Set is another great set from Stampendous that has matching dies available, it really saves a bunch of time not having to cut everything out free hand.  There are three different size dies for the leaves to help create full bushy trees.
