Wooly Lamb

How can you not smile when you look at this cute little Wooly Lamb?! To add a little bling, the bed of grass is embossed with Shabby Green Embossing Powder.  The green panel with flowers was dry embossed using the Cherry Blossom Stencil and it was run through a die cutting machine with a rubber mat.

A Kind Word

Today I'm sharing a quick little Spring card, that for some crazy reason reminds me of me and my daughter. Maybe it's because I gave the momma red hair haha.
This sentiment is so true, you never know how much someone might need to hear a kind word.  I think this momma is saying something loving to her chick.
Here is how my card was made;
  1. Stamp Babuska Chick on Media White paper with black ink and color with Spectrum Noir pens.
  2. Using blue chalk, chalk around the image using a flat brush.
  3. Sprinkle Shabby White Embossing Enamel on the bottom and heat from underneath so it doesn’t blow off. Glue to a yellow panel and tie the right side with ribbon.  Set aside.
  4. Randomly stamp a light purple panel with the flower from the Spring Sentiment set with lavender ink.
  5. Place two thin strips of Sticky Panels at the bottom and emboss with green from the Spring Sparkle Embossing Kit.
  6. Glue Babuska Chick to the purple panel.
  7. Stamp sentiment from the same set on white paper with black ink.  Sponge the edges with lavender ink, layer onto green paper and pop up on the card.

You Look Fabulous!

Don't you just love this birthday sentiment?! It's Look Fabulous from Stampendous and it makes me laugh every time I see it. This was the project my stamp club made, it is stamped on a background I made with Gelatos.  Orange, blue, grey and yellow were scribbled in rows and a baby wipe was used to blend the colors.  Once dry the sentiment was stamped with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink. Originally I hadn't intended to add a black strip but I got an ink smudge on the panel and had to cover it up but I love it and the blue flower brings out the light blue Gelato color.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week!! :)

Birthday Bear

Today I made a quick fun card using Stampendous stamps to play along with two challenges, Color Throwdown #386 and CAS(E) this Sketch #165.  In case you don't know what CAS and CAS(E) are, here is the definition from the CAS(E) this Sketch blog;
The acronym CAS stands for Clean and Simple.

1. Usually only one layer but can include a simple layer or two.

2. A lot of open space sometimes called "white space" can include subtle color, texture or pattern.

4. Usually no embellishments but can include something minimal. (1 or 2 embellishments)

3. Only one focal point. Embellishments should only support not dominate your card.
(Exception to this rule is that you've made the focal point an embellishment and not an image.)

5. Minimal color palette. (up to 3 colors in general)

6. Simple, uncluttered, quick and easy to create.

The acronym CASE stands for Copy and Share Everything.

Here is what I used to make my card;

Spring Short Stack Perfectly Clear Set
Brush Strokes- available at Simonsays Stamp
Celebrate Birthday
Onyx Black VersaFine-Imagine Crafts
Plus
My Colors Cardstock-Waterside Fern, Poolside
