Happy Whimsy Wednesday! I have a card made with the new Butterfly Background from Whimsy Stamps. I decided to stamp it on watercolor paper with VersaMark Ink and emboss it with White Embossing Powder.
Then I used the Direct to Paper Technique using Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn. If you haven't heard of the Direct to Paper Technique it's super easy, all you do is rub your inks directly on your embossed areas starting with the lightest colors. Then spritz your paper with water so it bleeds a bit and let it dry.
You will get a different beautiful look every time you do it.
Once this was dry it was layered onto black and white panels before being glued to a light blue card. The Friend Word Shadow Die Set was used to cute and layer white and black papers then glued to the card. Tiny rhinestones were randomly added on the card.
