Stamp This, Emboss That!

Fran Seiford, Owner and Founder of Stampendous has a new book "Embossing Powder TECHNIQUES from A to Z" and it has everything you will ever need to know about embossing!  It starts from the very basic all the way to advanced techniques and it's a stampers must have book.  Today I'm sharing a card that uses Technique U- on page 57, for the heart.

Technique S- on page 42, was used under the bunny.

Whether you use a lot or just a little embossing on your card, it really adds so much interest and texture! You can get this great book at your local stamp store or order it directly from Stampendous.  If you need a heat gun to try these embossing techniques, Stampendous now carries a Wagner Embossing Heat Tool that is made by Milwaukee.  It's long lasting and durable with more power and precision than the kind you can buy in big box stores.   I have to say Milwaukee knows how to make a heat gun, I've had mine for over 10 years and it's still going strong!!

World Card Making Day

Today is World Card Making Day and to celebrate, I'm sharing my favorite card of 2015.

It was so hard to pick just one, there are so many I like but this is just too cute not to share again, I posted this back in July.  Here is how it was made:

1.  Stamp Mixed Up on white cardstock with black ink and color with Prisma pencils.  Layer onto red paper and attach ribbon from May Arts with a green brad.
2.  Stamp green paper with stamp from the Industrial set with Meadow ink.
3.  Using die from Build a Pop Up Die Set, cut a portion off of the green panel and glue pieces to a red card.
4.  Stamp Penned Friend on white cardstock with Meadow ink, use a punch on the corners and layer onto a red panel.  Add Dot Sparklers in Gold to the corners.
5.  Glue pieces to card.

Stampendous and May Arts Blog Hop Fun!

For today's Blog Hop I have made a Spring time friendship card using Puddle Fun from Stampendous.  The image was colored with pencils and Encrusted Jewels Blue was used on the blue card, remember to heat this from underneath so it won't blow away.  Wide ribbon from May Arts was then added through the cut out of the blue card and glued with Beacon Adhesives 3 in 1 Glue.  Stamp the sentiment, layer it and brads are added to the ends.

Of course, in this hop there will be Prizes!! We’ll be offering three prize packages of a brand new, Jumbo Cling Stampendous Flower Stamp Set, A Jumbo Perfectly Clear Handle, AND YOUR CHOICE of one spool of any May Arts Ribbon!! Wow!
How to win…  Comment on our blog here, the May Arts Blog, and the blogs of each designer playing each day. Every comment is a chance to win! Be sure that you’re also a fan of our Facebook Page and the May Arts Facebook Page as well!
