Let's Celebrate!

Look what I have for you today, a card made with the sweet BlueBerry Tart House-Mouse Designs stamp from Stampendous.  I'd celebrate with him!

Here's how my card was made;

1.  Stamp Blueberry Tart on white cardstock with black ink and color with colored pencils.
2.  Lay the Chevron Background Metal Stencil over the image and sponge with Scattered Straw Ink, being careful not to sponge over the image. Layer onto black and purple papers.
3.  Glue decorative papers to a yellow card as shown, glue on Blueberry Tart and add purple rhinestones randomly.
4.  Stamp sentiment from the Big Words Happy Perfectly Clear Set on a strip of black paper with VersaMark Ink, emboss with White Embossing Powder and pop up on card.

Also includes an idea post card, a video on our site, and an idea gallery. Okay now let's talk about how easy it was to make my card, the papers are all from the Card Kit. All I did was cut strips of three different sheets of decorative paper and glue them to the bottom of a white panel.  The blue and white twine was tied around the top then the panel was glued to a blue card.  The Sentiment from the stamp set was stamped with Onyx Black VersaFine Ink and embossed with Clear embossing powder.  This was glued to a light blue panel and popped up diagonally on the card. Look at this cute little two-piece balloon die, I love how small it is and you can use them together or separate.  I used them separately, the solid one was used to cut out three balloons from decorative paper.  It was then glued on top of the twine and the string part was tucked under the popped up sentiment panel and you're done!  Wasn't that quick and easy?! Fabulous Flowers

Wow it's Whimsy Wednesday again, where has the time gone?  Look at these fabulous flowers that are in the Beaucoup Bouquet Stamp Set  created by Deb Davis, that were released this month at Whimsy Stamps!  They're stamped on watercolor paper with VersaFine Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  They were then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, die-cut with the matching Beaucoup Bouquet Die Set.

The Thanks Word Shadow Die Set was cut using gray and blue papers then layered.  To add just a little something to the white background, grey ink was splattered.

Add Color To Your Life

Hi there!  Today I'm going big and bold with the new Ranunculus stamp from Stampendous.  I used the direct to paper technique which made it easy and made it pop. If you want a quick view of my cards, head over to my Instagram.   Here's how my card was made;

1.  Stamp Ranunculus randomly several times on a watercolor panel with VersaMark ink and emboss with White Embossing Powder.
2.  Rub orange and pink inks directly over the embossed areas, then spritz with water and let dry.
3.  Layer onto a black panel and glue to an orange card.
4.  Stamp Friends Add Color on white cardstock with black ink and emboss with Clear   Embossing Powder.  Layer onto black and orange papers then glue to the right side of the card.

Bundle of Joy- Whimsy Stamps

Oh my gosh, I LOVE  making baby cards, the colors are so soft and pretty!  Whimsy Stamps came out with an absolutely adorable set this month called Jungle Babies designed by Deb Davis that has put me in my happy place.  Oh and welcome to Whimsy Wednesday :)

To start with I stamped the monkey and leaves on watercolor paper,  colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and cut out.  Two circle frames were then made by die cutting decorative paper with the new Stitched Circle Die Set.

Here's what I did to make the circle frames, before I pulled the dies off of the double sided tape used in the packaging to keep them in place, I ran them through my die cutting machine while still on the cardboard backing!  

This is what I got!!  Originally I was going to do a gray and pink card, that's why I took a picture of the gray circles but of course I changed my mind.

I die cut a bunch of different colors and put them in the back of the packaging for when I want to use them.

Of course you can still cut the circle frames after you have pulled them off of the packaging.  Just place them on your paper evenly spaced and use either removable tape or washi tape, something with low tack so it won't rip your paper.

Hi my friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend, mine was a fun crafty weekend especially since it was crazy cold here in Oklahoma when it feels like 4 degrees I don't leave!  I stayed in my house that is a home because of my family just like the sentiment from Stampendous says.  It's paired the Build a Wreath Die Set to give it a homey feel, here's how my card was made;

1.  Die cut the pieces from the Build A Wreath Die Set (leaves from green, bow from gold glitter paper) and build a wreath on decorative paper. Layer onto a white panel and glue to grey card.
2.  Glue on daisies and bow.
3.  Stamp sentiment from the Best Day Perfectly Clear Set onto a strip of white cardstock by inking Family with green and the rest with black, stamp then emboss with Clear Embossing Powder.
4.  Layer sentiment to gray and glue to card.

Sweet Treats- Whimsy Stamps

It's March 1st, that means it's new release day for Whimsy Stamps!  I'm using the new Build a Basket Die Set and I thought I would use it on a basket.  I die cut a bunch of different pieces from decorative paper and glitter papers. 

The little die cut basket is layered on circles using the Stitched Circles Die Set. 

The tag was made using the Tombstone Die Set.

Here is how to make the the Origami basket from one piece of 12 x 12 paper

The Origami Box requires no adhesive: You will need a sheet of 12 x 12”  paper. Place paper with decorative side down (side of paper that will be on outside of box). Fold the paper in the following order:

1. Fold in half horizontally, turn 90 degrees and fold again.

2. Open and fold corner inwards to center of paper.

3. With corners folded in, fold left and right sides into center and open out. Turn paper 90 degrees and repeat folding left and right sides into center.

4. Open folds, leaving two diagonal corners folded in. Lift two sides of box up. While holding two sides up, fold corner folds inwards, creating the third side. Fold flap into box with corner lining up in the center of bottom of box. Fold in last edge to create fourth side of box. Optional: adhere a decorative strip along top edge of box.

The handle-
Cut two pieces of corrugated paper 3” x 12” with corrugated lines running horizontally. Score and fold 2¼” from bottom edges on both pieces. Cut two pieces of patterned paper 2½“ x 12“.  Adhere centered onto corrugated strip. Punch a handle using a 2” circle punch at top of strips, about ½“ from top edges. Adhere top edges together. Punch a smaller circle or a bracket shape from a contrasting paper. Fold in half horizontally (like a tab) and adhere over top edge of handle edge. Place and adhere origami box onto one bottom flap. Fold and adhere second flap onto other side of box. Tie ribbon around caddy and through handle. Tie a bow and attach decorative tags and ticket. Add sticker letters or a monogram onto one tag. Add a Flair on top of ribbon about ½“ from bottom edge.
