The Free And The Brave

This week the Stampendous Design Team is showing you their patriotic side to thank the men and women who protect our country so we can have our daily freedoms that we often take for granted.  We would like to thank you!!!

Here is how my card was made;
  1. Stamp Old Glory on white paper with black ink.
  2. Sponge with red and blue inks.  Color the stars in with a white gel pen and layer onto white paper.
  3. Stamp Old Glory on white with blue ink, then over stamp with Free and Brave in black.  Sprinkle corner with Spoonful of Silver and heat from underneath.  Layer onto blue paper.
  4. Stamp red card with Free and Brave in blue, sprinkle the bottom with Spoonful of Silver.
  5. Glue pieces to card as shown and add 3 Star Sparklers to the right side.
Plus:
Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper®
Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
Brilliance™ Rocket Red, Mediterranean Blue Ink by Tsukineko®

Great card. I've made and sent a few of these, and I could really use this great stamp to make the process a bit quicker.

The two techniques you used with Old Glory are great! Love that you can come up with ways to make the same stamp look different. Wonderful job on this card for encouragement to the troops! Thank you for sharing this week!

Very beautiful, Jamie! I like the way you shaded your BG for the flag image and the sentiment too! The added the embossed silver too!
