Silhouette Flowers Card

It's new release day at Spellbinders for Simon Hurley! I used the new Watercolor Flower Clear Stamp  and Die Set to make my card. 

1. I stamped the flowers with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder on decorative paper.
2. The paper was then glued towards the bottom of a top folding white card, then a gold strip of cardstock was glued below it.
3. The outline die was placed above the flowers and run through my die-cutting machine.
4.The flower die-cut portion was glued to the bottom of the inside of the card. Now to read the sentiment inside, you open the top half of the card.
5. The sentiment from the set was stamped and embossed on the same decorative paper, die-cut with a circle die and layered onto a larger gold circle and popped up on the left side of the card.

Floral Friendship Card

Die-cut decorativ paper from the Delightful Dalhia 6x6 Paper Pad using the A2 Striped Cover Die.

(Tip- when removing the die-cut paper from your die-cutting machine, keep the the paper strips in the die and place glue on the back side. Then place the die centered on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2 piece of cardstock and pop out the strips of paper so that they are glued to the panel. Now you can use this for another card at a later time.)

Take the die-cut decorative paper and glue it to a yellow card.

Die-cut vellum using the Nested Circle Scallop w/ Pierce die and tape it to the left side of the card.

Die-cut the Dahlias and leaves from the Delightful Dalhia Paper Pad and glue one flower down and pop the other up in the right bottom corner, then add the leaves.

Die-cut the Friend Script w/ Shadow Die using white cardstock for the shadow portion and black cardstock for the word.

Use Lilac Color Fuse Ink and sponge it on the white die-cut cardstock piece, then glue the black word on top of it. Pop it up on the right side of the card.

Happy Birthday Bear Card

Today I have this cute bear birthday card up on the Scrapbook Adhesives Blog. 

Die-cut the bear, ballons, gifts cake, and banners from the Birthday Bear Simline Paper Pad.

Die-cut the polka-dot decorative paper from the same pad using a die. Glue this to a pink cardstock panel, using the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Also glue on square decorative paper panel in the center of the bottom row.

Place 3D Foam Circles White Mix, both big and small on the back of the bear and place one large 3D Foam Circle on the back of each balloon.

Place small foam circles behind the banner and pop it up on the top cardstock panel along with the bear and balloons. Glue the cake down using the Dual Tip Glue Pen in the left square and glue two of the presents down in the right square. Pop up the third present up on top of the other two.

Layer the panel onto a slightly larger light blue cardstock panel, then glue it to a white top folding card, using the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom with blue ink. Place a heart from the E-Z Runner Hearts at the end of the sentiment and sprinkle with Grapefruit Ultra Fine Glitter.

Kitty Belated Birthday Card

For my kitty loving friends, how cute are these dies from the new Stampendous Hugs Collection!!!!  I used the Stampendous Kitty Hugs Etched Dies, Stampendous Kitty Hugs Faces and Sentiments Clear Stamp Set and Stampendous Fran's Frames Etched Dies to make this cute kitty card.

The cat was die-cut from gray cardstock, then the edges were sponged with gray ink as was the mouse.

Birthday Bear Card

Today is release day for the new Stampendous Hugs Collection, stamps and dies and they are adorable! For my card, I used the 
Bear Hugs Faces, 
Stampendous Hugs
Sentiment Stamp Set,

Hugs Accessories Etched Dies

I used the sweet little baby bear and to make the onesie, I die-cut decorative paper using the baby die and just cut the arms, legs and head off, sorry if that sounds a little brutal hahaha.

The bear is die-cut from kraft colored cardstock and the are sponged with dark brown ink.

Stampendous Hugs Sentiments Clear Stamp Set

Hello-Clean and Simple

Today I have a clean and simple card made using a beautiful Spinaround Flower Stencil from Rubbernecker Stamps. Links to the products is at the bottom of the post.

Here's how my card was made-

Place the Spinaround Flower Stencils on white cardstock, use pink ink on all of the flowers, clean it then spin it 1/4 of the way and apply the next color, continue until all four sides are done.

Die-cut this piece using the Nested Square with Pierce Die and the next larger die on black cardstock to layer the flowers onto.

Stencil green flowers onto a strip of white cardstock, once the ink is dry, lightly sponge the strip with the same color ink.

Layer the panel onto a slightly wider piece of black cardstock and glue it to the center of a white card.

Die-cut Hello Script w/ Shadow die on white cardstock. Keep the Hello in the cardstock to sponge it with blue ink on the bottom and green ink on top.

Die-cut the shadow portion on black cardstock and glue the sponged Hello on the shadow.

Apply 3D Foam Squares Micro Black on the back of the Hello and pop it up center, right on the card.

Place small self-adhesive pearls to the center of the flowers.

Quick and Easy Friendship Shaker Card

Making shaker cards is always fun but sometimes it's hard to make a round shaker and getting the foam adhesive to go in a circle. Well Scrapbook Adhesives has made it easy with 3D Foam Circle Frames!

To make this card decorative paper from a 12 x 12 paper pad was used. As a card maker I find that I have sheets with large patterns left after I have used up all of the smaller patterned sheets, and this is a great way to use up those sheets. The pretty paper was die-cut using a mini slimline die.

Next two circle dies were placed on white glitter paper to cut the smaller circle, then the largest of the two, plus a bigger one were placed on purple cardstock to die-cut a circle frame. 

Take the largest of the dies used and diecut acetate.  Use the Dual Tip Glue Pen to glue the two circle frames on top of it as shown.

Find the right size of circle frame on a sheet of 3D Foam Circle Frames, remove it from the carrier and place it towards the top of the die-cut decorative paper. Do NOT remove the carrier exposing the sticky yet, first stamp the sentiment in the center of the circle using black ink. 

Place shaker bits in the center of the frame, remove the carrier and place the acetate on top and press all around the circle to insure adhesion.
