Fall Friendship


Today I was going through my photo gallery and found this card, that I had made a while ago that didn't get posted.  It is perfect for Fall and these little House-Mouse mice are sure to brighten anyone's day!  The stamp is call Grape Snack from Stampendous and is colored with Prisma pencils.  Stampendous has made a cute set of sayings to go along with the House-Mouse images.  The sentiment is from the Beary Mice Perfectly Clear Stamp Set.

Time To Distress


This weeks theme at Stampendous is "Feeling Distressed?"  Here is my take on the theme, a distressed country look for my background and flowers.

1.  Stamp flowers from the Stampendous, Build a Bouquet Set on violet paper, leaves on light green paper, vase on white paper and cut out using Build A Bouquet Die Cut Set
2.  Sponge the edges of the flowers with purple ink, the leaves with green ink and the vase with light blue ink.
3.  Spritz the flowers with purple spray and when dry add self adhesive pearls to the center of the flowers. Set aside.
4.  Sponge a tan panel with mushroom, rust and butterscotch inks then stamp with the peeled paint stamp from the Industrial set with black ink.
5.  Sprinkle panel with Spoonful of Rust Embossing Powder & Stamp Elements, heat from underneath so the embossing powder doesn't blow off.  Glue to a violet card.
6.  Wrap the vase with May Arts ribbon and cord and pop up on the card.  Arrange flowers and leaves and also pop up.
7.  Stamp sentiment from the Life Words Perfectly Clear Set on a cream oval with violet ink and layer onto a rust oval. Pop up on card.

Last Days Of Summer


Since the first day of Fall is this Wednesday, I thought I'd better hurry up and post this altered food box that I made several weeks ago.  The box was first spritzed with Adirondack sprays in blue shades, when dry it will need to be sprayed with a sealer because the spray will dry to the touch but will smear if rubbed.  While it was drying images from the Stampendous, Sea Side Chair Perfectly Clear Set were stamped on Mixed Media White paper with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, colored with colored pencils, cut out and glued to the box with 3 in 1 Glue from Beacon Adhesives.  The sentiment was stamped on white paper, layered onto blue paper and popped up on the box.  A VersaMark pad was smooshed on the bottom of the box, sprinkled with Golden Sand Embossing Powder and heated.  A variety of May Arts Ribbon were tied along the metal handle.  
I picked some fabric tags up at Michaels and thought I would stamp and stencil them to go with the box.  The first tag was stamped with Archival ink in black and colored Archival inks were stippled on to color the palm fronds and the ocean. A VersaMark Pen was used at the edge of the ocean, then it was sprinkled with Shabby White Embossing Enamel and heated.

The shells on the second tag were stenciled on using Dreamweaver Stencils, Shell Wreath Stencil and Archival inks.  A VersaMark Pen was used to add ink under the shell, then sprinkled with Golden Sand Embossing Powder and heated. The sentiment was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento.  The tags were then tied to the side of the box.

Stampendous-Tombow Hop Time!


Welcome to the first day of the Stampendous and Tombow Blog Hop!!  The Stampendous Design Team was sent a bunch of goodies to play with, and today I'm using their new Recycled Color Pencils to color my project.  I used the Mixed Media White Paper from Stampendous, layered my colors of colored pencil and blended with a blender pencil.  The colors blended wonderfully and are nice and vibrant.  You can win a set of your own, read on and good luck!!

Now here is my card:


1.  Stamp large pumpkin and hat from Create Fall set on Mixed Media White Paper and color withk Recycled Color Pencils from Tombow.  Use the matching dies from Create Fall Die set.

2.  Apply Quickie Glue to the hat trim and the eyes.  Sprinkle the hat trim with Crystal Micro Glitter and the eyes with Sunflower Micro Glitter.  Set aside.
3.   Cut burlap paper into a flag shape.  Lay Graduated Dot stencil on top of the burlap, I sprayed it with a mix I made using a little spoonful of DecoArt Metallic Luster Black Shimmer in a spray bottle of water.  You need to shake it real well to get it to dissolve, keep adding the Metallic Lustre until you get the color desired.  Good new is I haven't had any clogging of the spray bottle!
4.   Layer onto a slightly larger black flag and glue on the pumpkin and hat.
5.  Paste emboss Dreamweaver Stencils Spider Web with Dreamweaver Stencils Glossy Black Embossing Paste.
6.  Punch holes in the top of the flag, add ribbon, pop up on card and add a brad at the top of the ribbon so it looks like the flag is hanging.  Glue a little plastic spider on top of the brad.
7.  Stamp sentiment from Tricky Words Perfectly Clear Set on white cardstock with black in, cut into a flag shape, add a purple brad to the left and pop up with foam squares.

Thinking Of You


This week the Stampendous Design Team is playing with some wonderful products that Tombow so generously sent us.  I am sharing the Subtractive Eraser Technique used with a Dreamweaver Stencils  Butterfly stencil and the results are stunning! We are really excited for the upcoming hop with Tombow on September 18-20, be sure to stop by and hop along!



  Here is how my card was made:

 1.  Rub a Tombow Mono pencil on an emery board over a white cardstock panel so the "shavings" land on the panel.  Rub the shavings into the panel using a wide sponge.
2.  Place Dreamweaver Stencils LL3037 Butterfly stencil diagonally on the panel and tape two edges with removeable tape so the stencil doesn't move.
3.  Use a Tombow MONO non pvc eraser and erase the pencil color from the paper.  Use the Tombow MONO Zero eraser to get into the small and hard to get to areas.  I was happily surprised how the Mono erasers removed all of the color revealing the bright white paper!


4.  Before removing the stencil, outline the butterfly with a Gelly Roll glitter pen.
5.  Stamp Agapanthus Cluster along the bottom with London Fog Memento ink.
6.  Sprinkle Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel in the top left corner and heat from underneath so it doesn't blow off.
7.  Stamp sentiment from the Encouraging Words Perfectly Clear Set in black over the upper left part of the butterfly.
8.  Add self adhesive pearls to the butterfly body and color the with PP2 Spectrum Noir alcohol pen to make them pink.  Glue to a pink card using Zip Dry Glue.
9.  Tie the left side of the card with sheer light pink ribbon and heat the ends of the ribbon with your heat gun and watch the ends curl.

Christmas Greetings

  1. Stamp Robin Greetings on white cardstock with black, color with Chameleon Pens and cut out.
  2. Apply Zig 2-Way Glue Marker around the frame and sprinkle with Cinnamon Micro Glitter.
  3. Stamp snowflakes from the Delicate Snow Set randomly with Tie Dye ink, dry then over stamp with snowflake using VersaMark ink and emboss with PEARLustre Champagne Embossing Powder.
  4. Sponge the edges with Tea Dye, tie with ribbon and glue to a green card.
  5. Color in a few areas of the embossed snowflake with a white gel pen.
