Stampendous Plays With May Arts

We have lots going on this week to keep your Summer Vacation hopping with inspiration. In one event we’re hopping all week with one of our very favorite craft partners. Now for my card...

Today I'm keeping with the Stampendous weekly theme of "By the sea"  and used the Seaside Chair Perfectly Clear Set. It is a great set to use for summer and comes with several different sayings. 
1.  The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with pencils.  
2.  The sand is Mushroom Embossing Powder which was sprinkled on and heated from underneath so it wouldn't blow off.  
3.  The white part of the water is Crystal Micro Glitter that was glued on using a Zig 2 Way marker.
4.  After the panel was glued to kraft colored paper, it was glued onto a white card and on top of three thin pieces of ribbon with the same thicker ribbon tied into a knot and glued to the bottom, I love the look of matching ribbon in different sizes!  
5.  To glue everything in place 3-in-1 glue from Beacon Adhesives was used.

    Love the addition of ribbon on this card. I really struggle with what to do with ribbon but I like this idea.

    Anything summer/beachy is so fun! I like that you used the ribbon behind the image. It really highlights the image. I live in WI.

    Your coloring on the chair is fantastic. The mushroom embossing powder is so perfect for the beach. I can't wait to get a hold of some. Great card.

    Oh my, how inviting. I just love your card and the colors you chose. Yum, that ribbon is so pretty. No beach here in St. Louis, MO, unless I want to go to a lake.

    I am a beach girl, other than shopping for craft supplies the beach is the only other place Id like to be. I love the chairs and your card is so amazing. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice use of May arts ribbon(2 sizes -how clever). The scene does remind me of the beach. I love the chair. I'm from northern Georgia in the US.
