I made this Birthday Card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge WSC50, I didn't run across it till last night and I thought it looked like fun. The cake is a stamp from PrintWorks and it is a wedding cake but I only inked up the bottom of the cake and added candles to the top which are by Hero Arts. The image is stamped with VersaMark and embossed with a black glitter powder, then it is painted with Twinkling H20's. Yesterday I got a new border punch by Fiskar and had to try it. So the black paper was punched using it, and the punch was really easy to line up to make a continuous border! The Happy Birthday stamp is from Hero Arts and is stamped using black VersaFine, I decided to use VersaFine because it is easy to clean off clear stamps :) Above the pink strip I placed a piece of 1/8" tape and sprinkled with glitter.

A great stamp! I like the way you used only part of it (I never think of things like that)....I have the same problem with ink not coming off clear stamps too, so I will have to try that!
