Here is a Valentine's card that I used the "direct to paper"technique on. If you don't know what that technique is taking ink pads and rubbing them directly on your paper. I started with white paper and used little pigment ink squares, starting with the lightest color and ending with the darkest. I used different shades of blues and pink and purple. This is a great technique to use if you don't have the right color of paper!
I colored two quarter sheets of paper and on one I stamped the heart and embossed with glitter gold powder (if you don't have glitter gold, just add a little iridescent glitter to some gold embossing powder, shake and you are ready to go). The heart was cut out using deckle scissors and layered onto dark blue paper also cut out with deckle scissors. The saying a little gold heart are stickers.
