Gazebo- Whimsy Stamps

Hi my friends, look at this beautiful detailed Gazebo from Whimsy Stamps, I think this really says Spring.  I went with soft muted colors, it was stamped with black and embossed with brown embossing powder.

The roof was colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and the rest was colored with decorative chalks using a brush to apply the color.  When done you don't need to apply a fixative, it surprisingly doesn't rub off!  For the background, I die cut clouds and a seagull from the Up in the Clouds Die Set.

Birthday Party- The Stamps Of Life

Today I have another Birthday card that's made using the March Card Kit that's filled with goodies from The Stamps of Life and I used many of them.

Here are the papers I used, white, purple, yellow and green cardstock plus decorative paper from the paper pad and what's nice is all of the colors in the March Card kit coordinate so there's no guessing as to what matches.  The Happy Birthday dies were used to cut out the words in purple and the outline in yellow.
I die cut a circle from green cardstock and placed one of the ice cream stickers in the center.

Next, I repeatedly stamped the small balloon on the purple panel with Wilted Violet Distress Ink and glued it to the white card.  The other papers were layered, glued to the card and the other elements were glued to the card as shown above plus I added some bling from the kit.

Be sure to keep stopping by to see the other two cards I'll be sharing from The Stamps of Life March Card Kit.  Have a crafty day!

Congratulations

Hi my friends, this week I've been in Nevada visiting my daughter, son-in-law and new little grandbaby.  So I haven't been able to craft but I have been able to catch up on a few posts for cards I've recently made.  This card was made using the Entangled Flourish clear set from Honey Doo Crafts.  The flowers were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper, the paper really makes a huge difference.  I also use my Zigs on watercolor paper but I haven't had any luck just using regular cardstock.

Happy Birthday- The Stamps of Life

Today's card was made using the March Card Kit from The Stamps of Life, which makes cards quick and easy to make with coordinating stamps, die-cuts, embellishments, and papers.
I started by gluing a couple of decorative papers to the bottom of a white panel.

It was then glued to a red card.

Then the pom poms and twine were glued on to the card so they would look like balloons.  The words were die-cut from yellow and red papers, layered and glued to the card.  Rhinestones were randomly applied to add just a little something to this card a festive look.

Be sure to keep stopping by to see the other three cards I'll be sharing from The Stamps of Life March Card Kit.  Have a crafty day!

Happy Birthday!

Today I have a card made with the Watercolor Lotus from Rubbernecker Stamps.  The Watercolor Lotus was stamped on watercolor paper with VersaMark ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder.  It was then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens by wetting the flower then applying the Zigs to the Watercolor Lotus and moving the color around with a wet brush.

 Once dry it was die-cut with the Nested Rectangle Stitch Die Set, layered onto a gray panel then onto a decorative paper piece that was also cut with the Nested Rectangle Stitch Die Set.  All of this was then glued to a gray card.  The sentiment from the Happy Birthday Set was stamped and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder and green Nuvo Drops were randomly applied.

So when I was ready to layer this I tried several different background looks;

This was on a white card

This is on a bright pink decorative paper background with a white card base.

I was happy with all of these but the light pink decorative paper background with a gray card base won.  I really love light pink and gray together but you can't go wrong with any of these.

Have a creative day!

Friend

Happy Whimsy Wednesday! I have a card made with the new Butterfly Background from Whimsy Stamps.  I decided to stamp it on watercolor paper with VersaMark Ink and emboss it with White Embossing Powder

 Then I used the Direct to Paper Technique using Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn.  If you haven't heard of the Direct to Paper Technique it's super easy, all you do is rub your inks directly on your embossed areas starting with the lightest colors.  Then spritz your paper with water so it bleeds a bit and let it dry.

 You will get a different beautiful look every time you do it.

Once this was dry it was layered onto black and white panels before being glued to a light blue card.  The Friend Word Shadow Die Set was used to cute and layer white and black papers then glued to the card.  Tiny rhinestones were randomly added on the card.

Let's Celebrate!

Look what I have for you today, a card made with the sweet BlueBerry Tart House-Mouse Designs stamp from Stampendous.  I'd celebrate with him!

Here's how my card was made;
1.  Stamp Blueberry Tart on white cardstock with black ink and color with colored pencils.
2.  Lay the Chevron Background Metal Stencil over the image and sponge with Scattered Straw Ink, being careful not to sponge over the image. Layer onto black and purple papers.
3.  Glue decorative papers to a yellow card as shown, glue on Blueberry Tart and add purple rhinestones randomly.
4.  Stamp sentiment from the Big Words Happy Perfectly Clear Set on a strip of black paper with VersaMark Ink, emboss with White Embossing Powder and pop up on card.
