Mother Mary

This beautiful Mother Mary stamp from Stampendous, reminds us of the reason for the season.  It's paired with the new 8 x 8 DECOR Music stamp to make a watercolor background and the Encrusted Blue Jewel Kit to make a sparkly panel to layer with.  All week the Stampendous Design Team will be sharing their "Reason for the Season" cards so be sure to stop by the Stampendous Blog to see all of the beautiful creations.

Here's how my card was made;
1.  Stamp Mother Mary on cream cardstock with black ink and color with colored pencils.
2.  Sponge edges with Antique Linen ink and set aside.
Stamp DECOR Music on watercolor paper with VersaMark ink and emboss with white embossing powder.
3.  Rub Antique Linen, Tea Dye and Walnut Stain inks directly onto embossed pieces, then spray with water so the inks blend. Let dry.
4.  Once dry, stick a panel of Sticky Panels diagonally on to this then lay the stamped piece on top.  Sprinkle the exposed Sticky Panel's with elements from the Encrusted Jewel Blue Kit and emboss.
5.  Mount to a blue card.

Tis The Season

Welcome to Rubberneck Stamps Sweet Sunday Team Inspiration Day. Hope you've started your Christmas cards but if you haven't, here's a little inspiration for you.  This cute Snowman With Arms was stamped on white paper, colored with Prisma Pencils and blended with gamsol.  After the snowman was die cut,  the bottom was embossed with Shabby White Embossing Powder and heated from underneath so the powder doesn't blow off.  Decorative chalk was applied around the snowman with a flat brush. Tis The Season was stamped with blue, layered on blue and popped up.

Gift Giving

Christmas is just about a month away and it's time to get those Christmas cards mailed, if you haven't already.  Yeah, I need to get on that!!  I do like a bit of bling and shimmer on my cards and this Gift Giving image from Stampendous made it easy to add just the right amount sparkle.

Here's how my card was made;
1.  Stamp Gift Giving on white cardstock with black ink and color with watercolor pencils.
2.  Sprinkle Shabby White Embossing Enamel at the bottom of the image, use a small brush to wipe off of the image and heat emboss from underneath, so the embossing enamel doesn't blow off.
3.  Sponge the top with blue ink, glue to a red panel and tie the left edge with gold cord.
4.  Pop up on a green card, then place a strip of Sticky Panels below the image and sprinkle with Gold Micro Fine Glitter.

Christmas Greetings

It's Challenge 23 Christmas and Sparkle over at Rubbernecker Stamps, so make a sparkly Christmas card and share it HERE.  You could win one of two prizes, 1st place a $25.00 gift card to Rubbernecker.com and 2nd place a $10.00 gift card to Rubbernecker.comGood luck and I can't wait to see what you make!!

To make my card I used Ornament Branch and Christmas Greetings Large.  Both were stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Jeweled Gold Embossing Powder on cream paper and layered on gold.  The gold paper made it hard to get a picture with out the glare.  In person this card is really sparkly.

Snowman Season

Another week has flown by, like Santa in his sleigh! He’ll be here before you know it, only 38 more sleeps until he comes sliding down the chimney! Are you ready?? Have you been naughty or nice?
Stampendous is going to be nice this week and give away one of their new Santa On His Way stamps to a lucky commenter who leaves a comment on the Stampendous Blog for the week or on those of the Design Team. In case you need to find those spots, here are the links for MONDAYWEDNESDAY and Friday.
Here's how my card was made.
1.  Stamp Snowman Season on Mixed Media White Cardstock with black ink and color with pencils.
2.  Apply Art Glitter Glue to the fur parts of the hats and sprinkle with Crystal Micro Glitter, let dry.
3.  Cut out using a circle die and set aside.
4.  Cut a strip of Double Sided Mounting Paper and use a ruler to draw line on the top carrier paper.  Using a craft knife, carefully cut through the carrier only not the sticky mounting paper. Remove every other strip.
5.  Sprinkle Red Micro Fine Glitter, rub in and shake off excess.
Remove the remaining carrier strips and sprinkle with Crystal Micro Glitter, shake off excess and stick to a panel of decorative paper.
6.  Cut a strip of Double Sided Mounting paper, adhere to the left edge of the decorative paper and sprinkle with Crystal Micro Glitter.
7.  Glue to a red card and pop up Snowman Season with foam squares.

Season to Skate with Whisper Friends

Today's the last day of the Whisper Friends Blog Hop.

Be sure to leave comments on the Designer's Blogs so you'll be entered to win one of 2 prizes, U.S. residents only.  You can find the links on the Stampendous Blog.

My card today uses the fun and festive Whisper Friends Ice Skater stamped on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. The top of the image is embossed with Shabby Blue Embossing Powder and the bottom with Shabby White Embossing Powder.  To do the embossing, the powders were sprinkled on the panel and heated from underneath so it wouldn't blow off.  The sentiment was stamped in blue, embossed with clear and cut out with Fitted Frames A Die Cut Set.

Autumn Glitz

Autumn Glitz is the theme for Challenge 22 over at Rubbernecker Stamps
For my card I used Fall Foliage which is a two part stamp.  First I inked the leaves with Twisted Citron and Clover Distress Oxides and the ground with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The stamped was then spritzed with water, stamped on watercolor paper and dried with a heat gun.  The tree, which is the second part of the set, was then stamped over the leaves with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Vintage Mahogany.  The Three Line Frame was stamped on the panel with VersaMark and also embossed with Vintage Mahogany and the panel was glued to a brown card. Beautiful Wishes was stamped and embossed the same way, layered onto brown paper and popped up on the card.

Be sure to play along by clicking HERE, you could win one of two prizes!!
