Stampendous + Dreamweaver=Fun!

Stampendous and Dreamweaver are joining together this week to create some amazing things for you!

It's fun in the sun time again with another collaboration between Stampendous and Dreamweaver Stencils! We'll be playing together all of this week, with a fabulous hop on Friday, August 2nd, featuring a slew of amazing talent from both teams, and of course...prizes!!!  So be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win!

I must admit this is the first time I've used a Dreamweaver stencil and was a little worried that I would do it wrong, but they are sooooo easy to use and look how perfectly they paired up with Stampendous stamps and glitter! Here's how my card was made-

1.  Tape the ice cream cone stencil to white paper and stipple the cones with Butterscotch and Caramel Adirondack inks.
2.  Apply Zig 2 Way Glue to the ice creams, remove stencil and sprinkle with Lavender, Green and Ice Blue Micro Glitters, shake off and set aside.
Just a side note, I LOVE Stampendous' Micro Glitters!!! They come in beautiful colors and you can see all of them HERE.
3.  There is a glitter/lace technique I like to use and it can also be used with the stencils.  Rub natural soap on the back of a stencil, place it on sticker paper and sprinkle with Green Micro Glitter, rub in and shake off.  Remove stencil, sprinkle with Lavender Micro Glitter, rub in and shake off. Now you have this beautiful background.
4.  Apply bling and mount to glittered paper.
5.Stamp Birthday Calories on a white tag with Black Versamark, sponge edges with Butterscotch ink, trim to fit card and apply a strip of the glitter paper at the bottom.  Tie with ribbons add bling and mount to card.

Come back Friday for another Stampendous/Dreamweaver card!!!!!

Big Sneak Peek Surprise

Stampendous now has House Mouse!!!!!
I am so excited that Stampendous now has House Mouse, I love these little guys they are ADORABLE!

This card is pretty easy to make, so you can pop several out to give to family and friends...and who wouldn't LOVE to receive one of these cuties? Here is how it was made.
1.  Stamp Dino Treats with black Versafine, heat set and color with Staedtler watercolor pencils.
2.  Using a flat soft brush, brush on blue chalk around the images for shading.
3.  Layer onto black paper and tie with black and white checkered ribbon. Mount on an orange card stamped with Haunting Background using orange ink.
4.  To make the leaves, they were punched out of Fran's Sticky Panels then you peel off one side of the carrier and apply your glitter.  You can either glue these down or peel off the second carrier and stick it down, it's that easy!  The glitters used are Lavender and Orange Micro Glitters and Emerald Ultrafine Jeweled Glitter.

Here is how the card was made.
1.  Stamp Burglar Kiddo on white card stock and color using watercolor pencils except for the mask, shoes, flashlight handle and brim of the hat.  On the items listed apply Zig 2 Way glue and apply Lavander Micro Glitter. This is sooo sparkly and pretty in person!

Acetate, Glitter, Mica...Oh My!

This card is so sparkly and pretty in person!  You get a dramatic effect using glitter, mica and gold leaf on acetate and it's not really that hard.  Just take your time and enjoy the process.  So here is your tutorial!!!!

1.  Stamp Apricot Plum by Stampendous... of course, on acetate with black Stazon. Be careful when stamping, the acetate can be slippery so don't let your stamp slip.
2.  When dry flip over and apply a Fran's Sticky Panel.
3.  Place acetate piece on a light table with the stamped side down.  Use an exacto knife to lightly cut the Fran's Sticky Panel liner paper from the Apricot Plums only and remove the liner from the fruit.
4. Apply varigated gold leaf and burnish.
5.  Using the light table again cut out the leaves, remove the liner and apply Emerald Ultra Fine Jewel Glitter, rub in and shake off.  Put the excess glitter back into the bottle.
6.  Now for the last of the cutting, cut out that little branch, apply Copper Ultra Fine Jewel Glitter.

7.  Remove the remaining carrier and sprinkle with some Pearlized Mica Fragments then sprinkle on Blue Ultra Fine Pastel Glitter, rub in and shake off excess to put back into the bottle. Now sprinkle on  Royal Ultra Fine Jewel Glitter over the Blue Pastel, rub in and it will stick to just a few areas and shake off.
8.  Layer onto a black panel, decorative paper and onto a black card.
9.  Print out the sentiment which is a Stampendous Digital Download, sponge with peach ink, layer onto black paper and apply stick on pearls.
10.  Add light blue ribbon to the bottom by glueing the folds using Beacon 3 in 1 glue. Apply stick on pearls to the ribbon and to the right side of the card.

Two Challenges Are Better Than One!

I made this card today for the Freshly Made Sketch FMS93 (today's the last day) and Dynamic Duos DD#60 challenges.  So yellow and green had to be used and you can use neutrals.  This card was so quick and easy you really don't need any instructions.  But I will say I stamped and embossed the Zinnia by Stampendous with Versamark and white powder.  Shadow using Butterscotch Adirondack ink by picking up the ink with a watercolor brush.  The sentiment from Soaring Sentiments by Stampendous is stamped in black.

Thanks for stopping by and tomorrow I will have a card for you using acetate, glitter, mica and gold leaf!!

A Summer Day Scrap Page

Hope everyone is enjoying their 4th of July weekend!  I'm still using those cute Kiddos from Stampendous to make my summer creations!  Today I'm sharing a summer scrap page.  One of my daughters friends noticed that this little Kiddo looks like my daughter when she was little and I wanted to use a picture of Melanie as a little girl.  The picture I printed out was too dark and I didn't have time to run out to have it printed so I used a picture of teenage Melanie with her boyfriend Tyler.  Here is how it was made.

1.  Cut light blue card stock to 8x8.  Tear a piece of computer paper to use as a mask and ink the paper with Versamark ink.
2.  Cover the inked area with Shabby White Embossing Enamel and Pearlized Mica.  Heat from underneath or everything will blow off.  Set aside.
3.  Stamp Sandcastle Kiddo on a white oval cut out with a Spellbinder die using black Stazon Ink.
4.  Color with Staedtler watercolor pencils.  Mask the top of the oval and do the same technique and in step 2.
5.  Print out the sun and sentiment from the Sandy Kiddos Digital Download on the Stampendous page.  Layer as shown.
6.  Glue on seashells using Beacon 3-in-1 Glue, it is acid free and I used it to glue everything on the page except the Dew Drops which I used Glossy Accents.

I got this great scrap page holder on clearance at Michael's and it's a fun way to display your pages rather than just putting them in a book and not looking at them.
Stay safe this weekend and come back soon to see more creations with Stampendous stamps :)

Red, White and Blue Surfin

Happy 4th of July!!!!!  In honor of this holiday the Surfer Kiddo by Stampendous is in red, white and blue!  I'm playing along with Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge SC442 and I flipped the sketch on it's side. Here are all the details on how it's made.

1.  Stamp Surfer Kiddo on white cardstock with Versamark and emboss using black powder with some silver glitter mixed in.
2. Using an oval Spellbinder die, cut out image and watercolor with Staedtler pencils.
3.  Sponge edges with blue ink and layer onto a larger blue oval wrapped with white ribbon.
4.  I used blue striped paper to resemble the flag and glued it onto a white card.  Mount the image on a red Coredinations paper strip.
5.  Print out sentiment from the Stampendous Digital Downloads, sponge with blue ink, layer onto red paper and mount as shown.

Have a fun and safe 4th of July and thank you to all of the men and women who serve our country to insure our freedom!!
