Small Sand Piper

Stampendous is excited about the release of their new April 2017 Catalog products for Summer! There are terrific new stamp images from Fran Seiford, Laurel Burch, Pink Your Life’s Nicoletta Zanella, and House-Mouse Designs® Ellen Jareckie!

These stamps are now shipping to wholesale customers who are busily stocking their stores for you and Friday, April 1st you can order these images on the Stampendous website. Remember that Stampendous website orders are shipped to you from a local, independent retailer when they have them in stock.

Here is my sneak peek using Small Sand Piper, Scroll Thinking and the Nautical Anchor Perfectly Clear Set.  Be sure to take a look at how the sand look was done, it adds a nice touch of texture.

1.  Stamp Small Sand Piper on a white diecut circle, color with watercolor pencils and shadow with Prisma Pencils.  Don't forget the sand!  Sprinkle the bottom with Golden Sand Embossing Powder and heat from underneath so it doesn't blow off. Layer onto a slightly larger kraft color circle.
2.  Stamp anchor from the Nautical Anchor Perfectly Clear Set on the left side of a white panel that has been splattered with Tea Dye and Burlap Inks.  Color with Prisma Pencils.
3.  Stamp the compass rose at the bottom right of the panel with Tea Dye Ink and stamp over it with Scrolled Thinking with black ink.
4.  Layer panel onto a Winterlake panel and glue to a craft color card.
5.  Pop up Sand Piper with foam tape.

To make my card I painted watercolor paper with Diarylide Yellow, Transparent Yellow Iron Oxide and Burnt Umber.  Once dry it was stamped with a stamp from the Toxic Set in Sepia VersaFine.
The heart from the Handle With Care Set was stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Chinese Red Embossing Powder.  Black paint was painted around the heart.  The words from the Unexplained Set were stamped on white cardstock with black ink and only "Fears" was embossed with Chinese Red Embossing Powder.
A white fence was painted with Yellow Iron Oxide, Burnt Umber and Carbon Black.  Once dry it was glued onto the bottom of the project with 3 in 1 Glue.
Of course everything looks better with Dot Sparklers so I had to add a few black ones.

2.  Once the tag is dry, stamp the heart image from Handle With Care on the tag with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and stamp a second time on purple paper cutting out just the heart and glue over the heart on the tag.
3.  The Leopard Skin Metal Stencil was used to randomly stencil the pattern using gesso.
4.  Stamp the Fragile sentiment randomly with Green Gold paint and then once with Prussian Blue sideways on the left side.
5.  Stamp Have Faith from the Unexpected set with Wilted Violet ink on white cardstock, cut a part and layer onto black paper.  Glue to tag.
6.  Add tie the top of the tag with different colors of May Arts Ribbon.

Christmas Bling

It's time again for another challenge from

Playing along with Season's Greetings Challenge Blog (which is Christmas all year long) is a great way to get a head start on your Christmas cards, in a relaxed fashion and not in a rush!
The theme for Challenge #3, is as always "Anything Goes" or you can use the optional twist "Wet & or Dry Embossing."

After you check out how my card was made, be sure to go and see what the other talented Designers have for you today!!

This month I picked to use "Anything Goes" to make my glittery my glittery card.

Here is how it was made;
1.  I diecut gold glitter paper with the Holly Die from Stampendous and glued it to a slightly larger white panel that had the center sponged with green ink.
2.  I added red rhinestones for the holly berries and wrapped the bottom with red and white striped twine.  This was then popped up on a red top folding card.
3.  The sentiment was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, on a white frame diecut using Fitted Frames B from Stampendous and layered onto a larger red frame.  This was glued to the top of the card.
