Key To My Heart

Valentine's Day cards don't have to be just pink or red, we are artists and can make them any color we want!  My card today envolves NO stamping, it is all made using Dreamweaver Stencils.  I dry embossed, paste embossed and stippled through the stencil.  You can use stencils in sooooo many ways, I love them!
Here is how my card was made:
1.  Dry emboss the back ground with the Design I Beam Stencil on white paper, wrap with May Arts Ribbon and glue to a light blue card.
2.  Place the Heart Lock Stencil on white paper that has been die cut using the Fitted Frames A Die Cut Set and stipple with Sky Blue Brilliance ink.
3.  Then the key portion of the stencil was placed over the heart and paste embossed with Dreamweaver Stencils Metallic Sliver Embossing Paste.
4.  Once the key was dry the panel was layered onto a larger Fitted Frame in light blue and popped up on the card using foam tape.

Your Heart

This week the Stampendous Design Team is sharing cards with hearts.  I will apologize in advance, I love hearts and will be posting three times this week with stamps and stencils from the October and January catalog.
Here is how my card was made-

1.  Stamp Roots Of Love on white paper with black ink.
2.  Color with colored pencils.
3.  After coloring the hearts, go over the hearts with a VersMark Pen, sprinkle with pink embossing powder from the Spring Sparkle Embossing Kit and heat.
4.  Sprinkle the top of the panel with Shabby Blue Embossing Enamel and heat from underneath so it doesn't blow off.
5.  Sprinkle PEARLustre Moonstoe Embossing Poweder on the bottom of the panel and heat from underneath.
6.  Stamp sentiment beside the tree with black ink.
7.  Layer onto a pink card with a strip of craft colored paper on the left side.

Stampendous Is Playing With Imagine Crafts

This week Stampendous has been playing with neon inks and neon Amplify that Imagine Crafts so generously sent our Design Team.  And as an added bonus, this is sneak peek week for the NEW January 2016 catalog!!  Today I'm sharing a card using images and stencils from the January catalog!

We have prizes! Three lucky commenters will receive a prize package that includes:
  • 1 Radiant Neon Ink Pad and Ink Refill
  • 1 Color Fragments Jar
  • a Creative Palette Rectangles Set
See Official Contest Rules for details.

The background was made using the Creative Palette Rectangles and Radiant Neon Electric Pink pigment ink refill.  Several things I love about using these products together are, when using the Creative Palette you will get several generations of backgrounds from one inking.  The other is when using the Electric Pink pigment ink instead of acrylic paint, it dries almost instantly so you don't have to wait to start creating. Here is how my card was made.

1.  Apply several drops of Electric Pink ink to the Creative Palette Rectangle, spread with a brayer and stamp into it with a clean squares stamp (it comes with the Creative Palette Rectangles) to remove the ink.  Lay a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of Mixed Media White Paper onto the Palette and lightly rub the back of the paper then remove.
Creative Palette Rectangles
2 .  Now ink the squares stamp with Electric Pink ink and randomly stamp the panel several times without reinking.
3.  Randomly place the Petite Fern Stencil on the panel and sponge with the same ink and repeat.

4.  Stamp Happy Memories on Mixed Media White Paper with Tuxedo Black VersaFine, tear the edges and sponge with brown ink.
5.  Trace "Happy" with Radiant Neon Amplify in Electric Green and Electric Pink then heat with a heat gun until it raises.  Set aside.
6.  Die cut Leafy Branch Die and Petite Fern Die from paper inked the same as above except using Electric Green and Electric Yellow Radiant Neon pigment inks.
7.  Glue pieces down as shown using Zip Dry Glue.
8.  Now for the final touch add Pink Dot Sparklers to the corner of the card and to the leaf at the bottom.  I LOVE these Dot Sparklers and I really think I need to go to Dot Sparklers Anonymous to deal with my obsession with them.  But really they look great on everything!!

Let's Get Inky

STM_IC_blog banner

This week Stampendous is playing with neon inks and neon Amplify that Imagine Crafts so generously sent our Design Team.  And as an added bonus, this is sneak peek week for the NEW January 2016 catalog!!  Today I'm sharing a project made with October 2015 images but be sure to come back Friday to see what I use from the January catalog!

We have prizes! Three lucky commenters will receive a prize package that includes:
  • 1 Radiant Neon Ink Pad and Ink Refill
  • 1 Color Fragments Jar
  • a Creative Palette Rectangles Set
See Official Contest Rules for details.

Here is my card using the Cling Blossom Stamp Set and the matching Die Set and how it is how it was made.

1.  Stamp the bird, leaves and branch from the Bird Cling Blossom Set onto watercolor paper with Onyx Black Versafine ink, heat set and color with watercolor pencils.
2.  Next I pulled out my Creative Palette and brayer to color Mixed Media White Paper with Radiant Neon Amplify! in Electric Pink, Elecrtic Violet and Electric Green. To do this I squirt a few drops of each color onto the Pallette. Roll over the Neon Amplify with your brayer being sure now to over mix the colors or they will look muddy.  Place a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of Mixed Media White Paper on top of this, lightly rub and remove. Set aside to dry.
3.  Once dry stamp the roses from the same set with Jet Black StazOn.
4.  Use the matching Bird Blossom Die Cut Set to cut out the images.
5.  Sponge a yellow circle with Radiant Neon Electric Yellow Pigment Ink and glue pieces as shown, but pop up the bird, onto a light blue panel that has been sponged with Radiant Neon Electric Blue Pigment Ink.  Mount to a dark blue card.
6.  Stamp sentiment on the bottom corner with Onyx Black VersaFine ink.
