Quick And Easy Treat Bag

This week the Stampendous Design Team will be sharing Snowmen with you so let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!  These cute snowmen make a great thank you card or as I've done, make a cute little treat bag.  Snowman Warm Ears was stamped on white paper with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with pencils. Micro Glitter was added to the fur trim of the hat by sprinkling it on top of Zip Dry Glue. A Spoonful of Snow was embossed at the bottom.  This was layered onto green paper and glued to a decorative bag that I picked up at Michael's in the dollar isle.

 Big news!!!

It's probably to late to mail Christmas cards but you still have time to hand deliver them!  This is an easy card to make but looks like you spent a lot of time on it, here is how it was made.

  2. Stamp Delicate Snow Set twice with VersaMark ink and emboss with white.
  3. Stamp words from Holiday Words Perfectly Clear Set with Stormy Sky.
  4. Sprinkle top corner with Spoonful of Silver and heat from underneath, layer onto white paper also cut into a tag shape, punch a hole and tie with ribbon.
  5. Randomly stamp Delicate Snow Set on a blue card with Stormy Sky and let dry.
  6. Sprinkle card with Spoonful of Silver, heat from underneath and glue tag onto card.
  7. Stamp the word Merry on white paper and glue flat to tag.
  8. Rub white paper with the above blue inks and stamp with Christmas using VersaMark ink and emboss with white.  Pop up with 3D Foam Squares on white paper that has been glued flat to the tag.

In a flurry of a hurry? This month the Dream Team is all about the Quick and Cute...whether that be cards, gifts, wrapping, or tags...we have sleigh-loads of ideas! Play along by posting your creations using the Inlinkz tool on the Dream It Up! blog, for a chance to win the stencil of your choice, and a possible bonus stencil for using Dreamweaver products in your Quick and Cute project!

Here is how my card was made;
1.  Place white cardstock in the FJ858 Greetings embossing folder from Dreamweaver Stencils and run it through your embossing machine.
2.  Using a stipple brush, brush on Wild Honey Distress ink brushing from side to side.  When doing this the color will be darker on the raised portions.
3.  Wrap corners with sage green satin ribbon and apply lavender Dot Sparklers from Stampendous to the card.
4.  Layer onto a wine colored card.

Since this card is so quick and easy I have a second card for you today!  It's using the same FJ858 Greetings embossing folder but with a twist.

So here is what I did;
1.  When the embossing folder is open there are two sides, one is flat with the image indented and the other is with the image raised.  You will want to brayer Golden Glitz Delicata pigment ink on the flat side.
2.  Carefully place a white cardstock paper panel on the inked side taking care not to move the paper once it is laid down.  Close the folder and run it through your embossing machine.  Part of the Greetings is outlined with a Spectrum Noir marker to help it stand out.
3.  Don't worry if you get it crooked, I did and that is why I decided to tear the edges, so no one would ever know...shhhhh.
4.  Layer onto a sage green panel, tie with burgundy ribbon and mount onto a card.
5.  Add a couple of red Dot Sparklers from Stampendous to the right corners.

Wintery Snowman

1.  Stamp PenPattern Snowman On white cardstock, color with pencils.
2.  Stamp again on printer paper, cut out and use it as a mask so you can sponge blue ink around the snowman.
3.  Sprinkle the bottom and a little at the top with a Spoonful of Snow and heat from underneath to melt so it doesn't get blown away.
4.  Layer onto burgundy paper, wrap with gold raffia and set aside.
5.  Randomly stamp snowflake from Delicate Snow Set with Versamark ink and emboss with white on a kraft colored card.  Sponge with Tea Dye ink and wipe off embossed area with rag.
6.  Stamp snowflake onto white shrink plastic with Mediterranean Blue Brilliance, diecut it using the matching Snowflake Die Set and heat to shrink.
7.  Glue all pieces to card using 3 in 1 Glue from Beacon Adhesives.

Stampendous and Art Anthology Hop

We're back hopping with Art Anthology!  They have so many cool paints, sprays and now stencils.  We're having a blast making great mixed media projects!

There will be three terrific prize packages this week consisting of a Stampendous Creative Palette Monoprinting Plate, a $20 Stampendous Reward Card to spend on their website.  From Art Anthology you will get a stencil and one each Dimensional CrystalColorations Spray and Dimensional Paint (colors are random).

Here is how I made my card;
1.  The background was made by using a sea sponge and sponging on Lagoon Velvet Dimensional Paint and Dazzle Sorbet Dimensional Paint, let dry.
2.  Once dry use a regular sponge and sponge on Antique Linen Distress Ink.  Wipe with a baby wipe to get ink off of the paint.  The Dazzle Sorbet Dimensional Paint acts as a resist for the ink.
3.  Stamp "Friends" from the Happy Greetings Perfectly Clear Set on tan paper with VersaMark ink and emboss with Aged Green Embossing Powder.
4.  Stamp sentiment with Onyx Black VersaFine ink.  Crumple paper and rub Antique Linen ink over the top.  Glue to a black panel.
5.  Using Spellbinders Edgeabilities Classic Postage Stamp die, cut design on the painted panel.
6.  Sprinkle with Seasonings Chunky Metallic Embossing Enamel and heat from underneath so the powder doesn't blow away.
7.  Add flowers, glue to a black panel and mount to a tan card.

Now go see what the other Designers have for you today!

Stampendous Is Playing With Art Anthology

We're back hopping with Art Anthology!  They have so many cool paints, sprays and now stencils.  We're having a blast making great mixed media projects!

There will be three terrific prize packages this week consisting of a Stampendous Creative Palette Monoprinting Plate, a $20 Stampendous Reward Card to spend on their website.  From Art Anthology you will get a stencil and one each Dimensional Crystal, Colorations Spray and Dimensional Paint (colors are random).

Here is how my project was made;
1.  Stamp Jumbo Dear Santa on white cardstock with Onyx Black VersaFine ink.
2.  Paint the presents with Lagoon Velvet Dimensional Paint and Dazzle Sorbet Dimensional Paint.  Also paint Santa's fur with Dazzle.  Color the rest with pencils.
3.  Place the Santa mask that comes with the stamp, over the Santa and spray with Paprika Colorations Spray and set aside.
4.  Paint a wooden frame with Lagoon Velvet Dimensional Paint using a wet brush (I find you get more of a translucent look when the brush is wet).
5.  Paste emboss the corners with the 6x9 Hurricane Stencil and Dreamweaver stencils Translucent Paste. Let dry.
6.  Rub the frame and embossed areas with Golden Glitz Delecata ink.
7.  Stamp sentiment from Tis The Season Perfectly Clear Stamp Set with black ink and layer onto red cardstock and cut end.
8.  Glue on flowers (from the dollar isle at Michael's) and sentiment using Fabri-tac glue.

Now take a look to see what the other designers have made!

Time To Hop With Stampendous and Core'dinations!

Yes, the Stampendous team are breaking out their sanding blocks once again as they get to the Core of their creativity with wonderful Core'dinations' cardstock. Three days of awesomeness, and yes, there will be 3 prize packs. Check the Stampendous blog for all the details.

I used Core'dinations paper from The Chocolate Box Colletion which inspired me to make a card using country colors. Here is how my card was made;

1.  Using the Snowflake Die Set, cut snow flakes from Core'dinations paper from The Chocolate Box collection.
2.  Sprinkle a Spoonful of Snow onto the largest snowflake and heat from underneath so it doesn't blow off.
3.  Using the Jumbo Snowflake Trio, stamp snowflake onto one of the die cuts with Versamark ink and emboss with white embossing powder and add a blue rhinestone in the middle.
4.  Dry emboss the paper that the largest snowflake was cut from using Dreamweaver Stencils LJ855 by running it through your die cut machine using the embossing mat. Once it's embossed, sand it to reveal the core color underneath.
5.  Glue this piece onto a light blue card and mount snowflakes as shown.
6.  Stamp sentiment on light blue paper with Sepia VersaFine ink.  Sprinkle corners with Shabby White Embossing Enamel and heat from underneath.
7.  Glue pieces to card as shown using 3 in 1 glue from Beacon Adhesive.

Now go to the Stampendous Blog and comment on the other Designers Blogs, the more posts you comment on the higher your chances of winning. Good luck!

Play along by posting your creations using the Inlinkz tool on the Dream It Up! blog, for a chance to win the stencil of your choice, and a possible bonus stencil for using Dreamweaver products in your Quick and Cute project! Here's what fun I've been up to this week:

Here's how my card was made;
1. Cut Stocking out with DG692 Nested Stockings Die from white and burgundy velvet paper.
3. Tape LG611 Stone Wall stencil to white cardstock with removeable tape and dry emboss wall stencil by running it through your die cutting machine using an embossing mat. Before removing stencil from paper, sponge it with gold ink.
4.  Glue stocking to panel, glue ribbon to the stocking and tape the end to the back of the panel.  Layer onto papers and mount to a white card sponged with gold ink.
5.  Sponge a piece of white cardstock with the wall stencil with gold ink but do not dry emboss. Die cut DD001 Nesting Frames.
6.  Stamp piece with sentiment from Stampendous with crimson Brilliance ink and layer.
