Poinsettia Christmas

Can you tell that sometimes Dream Team's "Fearless Leader", Pam Hornschu, has a hard time deciding on monthly challenges? Since the team will be taking turns all month with the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween, and we are doing a Christmas collaboration with Stampendous and Core'dinations the 13th - 17th (there will be prizes!!), the confusion should be understandable. Therefore...happy HallowThanksMas! As usual, we'd love for you to play along with the challenge and link your creations to the Inlinkz tool on the Dream It Up! blog (or at the bottom of this post). Just in case you are wondering...NO, YOU DO NOT NEED TO POST SOMETHING WITH ALL THREE HOLIDAYS ON IT! However, you get bonus points for actually using Dreamweaver stencils and product on your creations! And bonus points might actually earn you an extra stencil as our monthly winner...just sayin'!

Today my card is using the new Tall Poinsettia LL3046 and it was used in two different ways.  The main panel is using the double gitter technique with ultra fine glitters from Stampendous on Dreamweaver Stencils Double Sided Mounting  Paper.  The gold Poinsettia was stenciled with Delicata Golden Glitz ink from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko.  The glitter panel was tied with sheer ribbon and then hit with a heat gun just until it starts to curl.

SANDY Claus is Coming to Town!

Yes...SANDY Claus! All of this week, the Stampendous and Dreamweaver teams have been playing with a mix of their products, along with some wonderful, SAND-ABLE papers from Core'dinations. We've sanded our way to the "core" of all things Christmas and the Holiday season. Of course, there are prizes, and we are giving away the best...this time with a mix of fun Core'dinations products as well. To be one of three prize package winners, follow the posted link lists from each day, leave comments, and winners will be selected from these comments at the beginning of next week.

All stamps are Stampendous, Stencils from Dreamweaver Stencils and paper from Core'dinations.

1.  Stencil LL570 Pine Trees on white paper with light green ink, move stencil to the side slightly and use dark green ink and brown for the trunks.  Over Stamp sentiment from the Tis The Season Perfectly Clear Set with Onyx Black VerasFine ink.
2.  Sprinkle Spoonful of Snow under the trees and heat from underneath so the embossing powder doesn't blow away.  Layer onto black Glitter Silk paper using Beacon Adhesives 3 in 1 glue and set aside.
3.  Stamp snowflake two times from the Delicate Snow set with Versamark ink, emboss with Shabby White Embossing Enamel and die cut using the matching Snowflake Die Cut Set.  Cut in half as shown.
4.  Wrap May Arts Ribbon around a 5x7 Recycled Kraft Card and glue the snowflake halves around the card and mount Pine Trees.

5.   Glue the small die cut snowflakes in the bottom corner and add gold Dot Sparklers to card.

Here's how my card was made:

For today's card I made a nontraditional Christmas card using;
1.Dreamweaver Stencils new FJ858 Greetings Embossing Folder that I used as the base of the card.  To get the blue color I rubbed Sky Blue Brilliance from Tsukineko over the the indented side of the folder (not the raised), then embossed using Core'dinations white cardstock.
2.  I then stamped the butterfly from Stampendous' Jumbo Butterfly Trio set with Versamark on Core'dinations vellum and embossed the Shabby White Embossing Enamel
3.  Next the same butterfly was stamped on Glitter Silk paper from Core'dinations with Delicata Golden Glitz pigment ink from Tsukineko and embossed with clear powder.
4.  Both were cut out using the new Butterflies Die Cut Set from Stampendous.  When using the die it cuts off the antennas, so for the vellum piece I cut around the antennas then placed the die on the butterfly with the antennas on top of the die so they wouldn't be cut.  The vellum wings were bent, glued to the sparkle paper and blue self adhesive pearls were added.
5.  The letters and leaves were then die cut using Dreamweaver Stencils new Dual Alphabet Cutting Dies DD005 and DD003 Leafy Branch from Core'dinations Glitter Silk paper.
6.  The sentiment from the Holiday Words Perfectly Clear Set using Versamark ink and emboss with  Copper Tinsel Embossing Powder, layer onto gold paper.

Made this at the last minute using Stampendous stamps Clear Set SSC1182, Dreamweaver Stencils new Embossing Folder FG675 Pine Cones and Core'dinations Chalk Core sandable paper.
