Butterfly Collage

This week the Stampendous Design Team is playing with the beautiful butterfly stamps that were released in April.  These gorgeous images are already collaged for you.  With enough area to be fun to color and enough backround to save you heaps of time, they're a super quick way to get a gloriously textured, layered card.  You can cut out the butterfly from a second stamping to add depth, or simply stamp in black over your Creative Palette monoprints for a fast and easy card.

My card was colored with Prisma pencils, the background was sponged with peeled paint Distress ink and the Butterfly Pattern was popped up.

Make Art

Today I'm sharing the Eiffel Collage stamp from Stampendous.  This is a very pretty stamp and detailed so when I looked at it I thought "oh my gosh, that will take me forever to color."  I decided to color only a square which was placed on a white panel, then the image was stamped.  The bird was colored with pencils and around him was watercolored.  The rest of the collage was sponged with Tea Dye Distress Inks and embossed with the Blue Encrusted Jewel Kit.  Then layer onto a tan panel and mount to a dark blue card.

And now for a GIVEAWAY!

Beautiful Butterfly

This week the Stampendous Design Team is sharing beautiful butterfly creations and here is mine.
1.  Stamp Buttterfly Tune on white paper with Onyx Black VersaFine ink and color with Prisma pencils.
2.  Mask the butterfly and sponge with Tea Dye Distress ink.
3.  While the mask is still on the butterfly, stamp sentiment from Loving Messages.
4.  Layer onto black paper and glue to a card layered with decorative paper.
5.  Tie a string of beads and ribbon together, glue to card using 3 in 1 glue from Beacon Adhesives.
6.  Hit the ribbon with your heat gun so it will shrivel but not for too long but DON'T shrivel the ends.
7.  Apply Stiff Stuff from Beacon Adhesives to the ends of the ribbon, curl around a pencil and let dry.  It won't take long, try blowing on it to speed it up.
8.  Add a flower and you're don't.

And now for a GIVEAWAY!

Fun With Stack Art

All week the Stampendous Designers along with other invited Designers have been showing what you can do Stack Art from Stampendous, so be sure to take a look at the Stampendous Blog (link at bottom of page) for links to all of the projects!

(Normally I link all of the Stampendous product for you to easily find the items I use over on the Stampendous website.  Unfortunately Stampendous is having technical difficulty with the new website but it is being worked on.  Please be patient and check their site soon to view product and projects.)

1.  Paint Kraftboard pieces from the Kraftboard Angel Wings set with gesso, let dry and sponge with yellow, orange, blue and green inks.
2.  Stamp the large yellow and orange chip board with background image from the Stamps Angel Wings set using black ink and let dry.  Then rub with VersaMark ink and emboss with Deep Impression embossng powder.  While hot sprinkle with Gold Lux Mix and heat again before the piece cools.
3.  Rub the green kraftboard with VersaMark, sprinkle with Aged Green Embossing Enamel and heat.  Glue sentiment from the set in the window after it has been sponged with yellow and orange inks.  Apply red rhinestones.

4.  Stamp wings from the set onto the kraftboard wings that has been sponged with blue using Lightning Black Brilliance ink.  Apply glue that stays tacky to the bottom of the wings and sprinkle with gold ultrafine glitter.

5.  Apply die cut Sticky Panel to Kraftboard heart and sprinkle with Red Micro Glitter, glue to wings with 3 in 1 glue by Beacon Adhesives.
6.  Stamp background from the set on a blue card with blue ink, the image is super easy to line up when stamping multiple times.  Sprinkle card with Aged Ochre Embossing Enamel and heat from underneath so the powder doesn't blow off.
7.  Glue pieces as shown using Beacon Adhesives 3 in 1 glue.
