Just Goofing Around

At times I am asked what my blog address is and many times the person I give it to doesn't have anything to write it down on.  So today I played around making tags to stamp my blog address on to hand out to whoever asks.

To do this I used Chalk Inks direct to paper very lightly then over stamped with Dream Text and Agapanthus Long both by Stampendous.

Here is one close up.  I love how chalk inks lighten as they dry.  I had the stamp made at Staples, the only thing I don't like about Staples is it only comes pre-inked so I can't stamp it in a pretty color.

Stop by next week for another newly released stamp from Stampendous!

Birthday Scrap Page

were used to showcase the memories of my Mom's 80th Birthday!

This month we celebrated my Mom's 80th Birthday!  She wanted a steak so we took her to Texas Roadhouse for a yummy dinner and to document our fun Stampendous stamps and the Project Life pages by Becky Higgins is the perfect way to display it. It was quick and easy all I needed to do was cut four 6x6 white pieces of card stock and stamp the tops then slide them into the pockets with the picture and I was done.

Here are the step by step instructions for stamping the panels.
1. Stamp Birthday Block (by Stampendous in stores soon) on two panels with black Versafine ink, heat set and color the balloons and a couple of words with watercolor pencils.

2.  Stamp Happy Birthday from the Soaring Sentiments set (by Stampendous in stores soon) and the numbers from the Fifteen Candles set with black Versafine.  Using a 2 Way Glue marker, apply ink randomly to top of panel and sprinkle with Scarlet, Amethyst and Leaf Green Fragments (Stampendous).
3.  For the last panel stamp the letters using the Vintage Uppercase and Vintage Lowerecase (by Stampendous in stores soon) with black Versafine.  Cut a thin strip of  Fran's Sticky Panels (by Stampendous in stores soon), apply above letters and sprinkle with Oceanic Crushed Glass Glitter (Stampendous).  Cut a slightly wider strip of Fran's Sticky Panels to apply below the letters and sprinkle with Fresh Green Crushed Glass Glitter (Stampendous).

Have a  great weekend and scrap your memories.

Spring Planting Scrap Page

This has been a fun collaboration week with

It was fun and easy to create a scrap page with both companies!

I have to say I loved creating a scrap page using this style of page!  I am one of those people intimidated by a full 12x12 page and needing to fill the space.  This is a quick and easy way of just sliding in your photo with little or no cropping and adding a couple of stamped pieces to decorate or you can use them for journaling.
  1. On the top blue piece the corner design from the Cling Jumbo Peruvian Lily (Stampendous) was stamped with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on paper brayered with the same ink.
  2. Spring Planting was stamped with the same in using the Calligraphy Alphabet (Stampendous).
  3. After the panel was glued with 3-in-1 Glue by Beacon, a great acid free fast drying glue, Versamark ink was rubbed on the bottom of the white panel and down the page then sprinkled with Jewel Pink Encrusted Jewels set (Stampendous) and heated from the bottom until it melts.
  4. 2013 from the Fifteen Candles set (Stampendous) was stamped in Citrus (Ranger) on white paper brayered with Citrus ink. Then Cling Leaf Sprig was stamped in the two corners with the same ink.
This panel was easy to do and has a pretty affect.
  1. Brayer white paper with Citrus and let dry completely.
  2. Stamp Agapanthus Cluster with Versamark and emboss with white powder.  Then sponge the Agapanthus Cluster and right around it with Citrus ink.  Rub the embossed area with a paper towel to remove ink.
  3. Dot the page with a 2 Way Glue marker and sprinkle with Fran-tage Color Fragments (Stampendous) from set FRCK01.
Here are a few of the items used to stamp the panels.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another scrap page using Stampendous stamps and Project Life by Becky Higgins

2.  Stamp Artist Elements by Stampendous! with black Stazon ink.
3. Using a 2 Way Glue Marker, apply glue to the tips of the brushes and sprinkle with blue and Tigerlily glitters.
4. Tear the top and bottom edges and mount to a black panel that has been stamped using the corner stamp from the Jumbo Peruvian Lily set with Versamark ink and dust with Dreamsicle Radiant Pearls.

Celebrate With Style

Oops, I found this card that I saved instead of posting back in February, so here it is now. This card was made for the SplitCoastStampers sketch challenge SC422 and color challenge CC412 using cream, kraft and black, I love the color combo.   Since I'm always in need of birthday cards I made a couple :)

My wonderful husband, Paul's birthday was in February.  My son Greg told me we had to get the number candles or there would be WAY to many...I thought he was right haha.

Like Home

This card was made for the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge (FMS81) and I thought these stamps would be perfect for it. The stamps are "No Place" and "Amazing Shoes" by Stampendous (in stores soon!). They have a  great line of stamps called the "Lisa Hindsley Collection" which has really cute Wizard Of Oz images that can be used in a variety of ways!

1. "No Place" was stamped on white paper with Versamark ink and embossed in black (this helps keep the watercolors inside the lines), then the image was watercolored with pencils except for the shoes Twinkling H2O's was used but you can't see the shimmer in the picture.
2.  The edges were stippled with denim Adirondack ink then layered onto a black circle.
3.  "Amazing Shoes" was stamped with black Versafine and red bling dots were added to the side.  White ribbon was tied around the panel and everything was mounted.

Keep stopping by to see new Stampendous stamps!! :)

I'm Designing for Stampendous!...Again!

I'm so excited to say I'm on the Design Team for Stampendous!... again!  I worked for them from 2001-2006 and am really happy to be on the Design Team again.  You might have noticed  the Stampendous! badge on the right that I put up last week along with a list of the design team members, well I've just been getting things ready and here is a sneak peek from the April 2013 catalog which will be in stores near you soon!

1. Spritz walnut in on kraft colored paper and let dry and stamped King Teapot with Stazon black ink.
2. Color with colored pencils.
3. Apply Two Way Glue to the dots and alternating lines on the top of the pot, let dry and sprinkle with Lavender Microglitter.
4.  The corners are done using the "Encrusted Jewel Technique" (click on link to see video) which is done by applying Versamark to the corners and then adding layers of Encrusted Jewels from the purple kit and heat from underneath with your heat gun.
5. I then trimmed off a strip from the bottom and glued both pieces to a black panel and mounted on to a lavender card that was spritzed with walnut ink.
6. The top portion of "Kettle On" was stamped with black Stazon on kraft colored paper that had been spritzed with walnut ink and let dry.
7. The "Encrusted Jewel Technique" was used in the corner and on the edge.  Then the piece was layered on back and mounted to the card using foam tape.
8. A random charm was glued to the top corner of the card.

Thank you for stopping by! :)

Girly Card Time

This card was made for the sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday #287.  I like this color combo and I was in a girly mood so this is what I came up with.

1. The heart (Hero Arts) was stamped on cream paper with Versamark and embossed with gold then punched out and layered on a craft scallop circle and dotted with a white gel pen.
2.  A white panel was stamped with a swirl stamp using pink ink, the edges were sponged with Latte Adirondack ink and layered on brown paper.
3.  A kraft panel was sponged with Latte and a doily was rubbed with Beige Brilliance.
4.  Cirlce stickers were added to several corner and pink ribbon was glued under the scalloped circle.

Thank you for stopping by and I started a new Facebook page for crafting, if you would also like to follow me on fb just click on this link Jamie Crafts Martin and add me :)
