Using UP Some Scraps

I have a drawer that I throw my stamped scraps into that didn't get used. Usually it is because I think I'll make two or three cards so I stamp multiples but don't get around to making the extras. I found this stamped flower in the drawer and thought it was time to use it and the decorative paper was a scrap also. I decided to use purples because of my friend Shelia, I was reading her blog a few days ago and she said she loved anything purple. With making cards for fall and Christmas, purple is a color that hasn't been used in awhile and it was time.
The flower is by SU and the sentiment and little dots are by Stampendous. After the flower was stamped in pink, the petals were shaded with pencils in a darker pink and purple then glitter was added to the top flower.

I have a fun new widget over on the left side of my blog, it lists the top commenters to my blog, I thought it was fun to see who comments the most. Thank you to those listed, I'll be visiting your blogs often :)

Here is a picture of the family, we all have USC football jerseys and I wanted a picture of us all wearing them. We went to The Picture People in the mall and got them done, this is a cute pose. Fight On Trojans!

Jamie, How wonderful, for thinking of me. Today has been a sad day for me, and now you have brightened it. The Lord must have whispered in your ear. Today is the anniversary of the death of Emily my friend that was murdered.
Thank you for calling me friend. Oh by the way, did I ever tell you that my first born's name was suppose to be Jamie Denise, well it turned out to be Scott *wink*. I have always loved that name, and have never actually known a Jamie until you. Beautiful card and thanks for making me smile.

Isn't it easier when you have scraps that seem to go with each other and making a cards is so much easier? I do! Love your card and it is hard to say it was done with scraps.
